jailbird, vivek, angie - since the first entry on the spreadsheet is the date the application is received, I imagine post back here as soon as your tracking number/courier shows it was received. Or maybe you can indicate the expected delivery date and update it in case it changes. I'm sure the people that attend to the spreadsheet will get you all added in there. More people to hang out and wait with, lol

Can someone clear something up for me. After getting OWP can we leave the country? Anyone has experience with this?

OWP has printed on bottom that it does not authorise entry into Canada so it is not advised to leave.

I got my pgwp till the expiry date of my passport. then, I renewed my passport and applied for work permit extension in may, 2015. In mid of July I got my whole package back with a letter of explanation. That you did not pay $100 permit holder fee (as from Feb, 2015 they changed fee and added $100 more+processing fee). So, you need to pay that $100. Moreover, your work permit is already expired now, so you have to apply for implied status too and pay that fee too.

Then I applied again for work permit extension+implied status. They received application again on July 29. After that did not hear anything.

Anyone here with same timeline please update.

Ah so yours was received Dec. 10th like someone above. Spreadsheet goes by application received. You December guys are just squeaking into the last of the 2015 applicants haha!

yes, hopefully by next week I gonna receive an AOR. HAHA! (that's impossible to happen, but I dont want to lose hope LOL)
maybe someone here can create a 2016 new forum on this website )

I'M SUPER HAPPY!!!

Finally after 4 months and a week of Waiting I got my WP today.
also went to Service Canada to get my SIN and all that.

so the work permit was sent from Vegreville, AB so I guess that's why took longer than I thought it would be (from Mississauga,ON)
Anyway, it is here, valid for 2 years.

after all these stressing waiting... I,m happy beyond words...

keep holding on guys... it takes time...

December 11, 2015 – Foreign nationals in Canada applying to immigrate as a spouse or common-law partner will continue to have the opportunity to work while waiting for their application to be finalized.
A pilot program giving them open work permits is being extended for one year, until December 22, 2016.

YES I can say it now , got my OWP today on the mail I am sooooo sooooo HAPPY words cant really describe this feeling, hang in there is coming for everyone!! I actually had to fix my app because I made mistakes on my background information and they wanted my family information again , I waited 4 months and 2 weeks to receive my permit those extra weeks was because of the mistake I made, but I am soo sooo HAPPY.
