Hello everybody!

I just landed today in Vancouver office. The officer advised me not to travel anywhere before getting the PR Card. We got the landing appointment 1 week after the DM ))))

Congrats! Same here. I was supposed to go for Vegas but since I received PR status, they cancelled my TRV to travel back to Canada so I just have to stay in Canada for the vacation lol.

After waiting and waiting, I finally heard news...and it doesn't seems good. If anyone can go to my thing I created and help me out I would be grateful!!!

I am in the EXACT position she is now. I have just landed this 14th July and have already bought the tickets in advance for Vegas this August 27th. The PR card is expected on September. I will answer this the way the Border Patrol explained it to me before when I travelled without a TRV.

The COPR is NOT a valid travel document. It also says so in the paper. BUT. If you were only travelling by private car on land to cross the border coming back, then they only need her COPR and passport.

If by commercial plane, they need to see that she has a valid passport if she comes from eTA or visa exempt countries. An airplane company doesn't have authority or access to see if she has PR status or not.

Her main problem is with the Border Patrol when she lands. They will look for the PR card if she is already PR or a PRTD (Permanent Residence travel document) which she can ONLY apply for outside of Canada. If not, then it might be possible they will refer her to immigration OR refuse entry (which also they also have a right to do so). Border Patrol/Customs doesn't have full access to the file unlike Immigration does. Border Patrol depends more on what they can actually see like a visa in the passport or PR card.

Hello foreign ex, I have a question, i am just curious, cic asked us to bring 2 copies of photographs, however, the cic officer took only one photograph from me, and he returned the other one to me. is that the same to you ???

Yes it is the same for me as well. You are supposed to put the other one on the COPR if you haven't noticed yet there is a piece of tape on the lower right. ;D

Not really. I think it is necessary if you cross the border by land where they require it.

Yes, that's exactly what I've been saying. I might as well apply for a new one instead of wait for this one.

Any good news on your PR card as yet Gustavesf? so yesterday I decide to call my new best friends at CIC to find out whats the hold up with my PR card. the agent asked me when I landed I told her April 19th she asked me if I got a call or email that I need to redo my pictures I said no, she then asked me if I had called before I said yes I called 2 weeks ago and was told that my PR card has being approved just needed to be printed. she said she will go check and see whats wrong then she came back and tell me the same thing that my PR card is in production and just need to be print and if I don't hear anything from them by July 28th I should call them back. who would have thought that a card that should take maximum 5 minutes from start to finish is now past 3 months and I still haven't received it.

Same here. I cancelled my flight so that I'll wait for the card instead. Too much hassle with Immigration. Good news is we are done with Immigration for now lol

Medical done = April 26, 2016
SP = July 20, 2016

This is the 19th month going finally got SP yesterday after talking to the call centre agent. The agent said your SP was done MAY26 you still have to wait for little long. When my spouse asked the agent why isn't the SP mailed out since then they said just wait till you get as we cannot explain this to you. but we can explain this to your spouse or your legal representative. Luckily i was physically present, all he said was you have to wait longer. Then i called my lawyer and he talked to them and go the SP emailed to him july 20. just wondering if any one can pls explain what is happening would be gr8, as its been 19 months since the application is received.

What does SP mean?
