My information might be a little outdated (I landed in February), but according to call centre agent at that time, Etobicoke office is obligated to send the landing interview invitation within a month. After that time you can call the call centre and they will send the request to Etobicoke. However, I received my letter within 2 weeks with a landing date exactly 2 weeks later. So stay strong, it's coming!

Thank you so much! Hopefully I will get my letter this week and get the whole thing done!
My husband is going on a business trip in April and I am praying it does not overlap with the landing interview :(

Hubby got his AIP today (dated Feb. 24) and they requested medicals (already re-done and received), police certificate from China, additional family information (which was requested and submitted back in September, maybe they lost it), and his original birth certificate.

And we got a whopping 5 days to do it! (Deadline in letter is March 25.)

Did you land in Etobicoke? What questions did they ask you? I'm going to my landing interview tomorrow morning. Any tips?

If it's a standard landing appointment/interview (and NOT an interview before a person has DM), there are usually only 3 questions:

Have there been any changes to your family (marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc.)?

Have you been charged with a crime in Canada or anywhere else?

Have you been told to leave Canada?

It really is pretty quick and almost...uneventful. Having said that, it'll probably still be one of the best days of your life!

Yes it's a landing interview, I got my DM last month. I'm very excited for it and am hopeful that I'll get my PR card before going on my honeymoon in June :)

Yes, Etobicoke was my landing office. Everything went very smooth. They took my pictures, checked passport and sponsor's id. Asked me basic 3 questions (don't remember exactly, but I think it was smth about if I had any dependents, if I had ever been rejected entry and if I committed crime in Canada or elsewhere). Then the agent gave me my corp for verification, asked if my sponsor understands the conditions...

Overal, it was very easy and quick...5 min tops...right after landing I updated the sin...The only suggestion I may give you is to arrive earlier, as there will be line, and to bring all the documents (receipt, work permit, study permit, temporary sin if you have any). I didn't have to show anything to them, but others did..It's better to be safe than sorry

Anyone else here sponsor/or are the applicant from China?

They requested a birth certificate for my Chinese husband but were having issues getting one. Is there any other alternatives accepted?

This is what we got his parents to do. The office also gave us the translated version too and we already submitted it to CIC.
Hopefully its all good. :)

Thank you everyone for all your help! I landed 2days ago at 1029 AM at the Etobicoke office. You guys were right they only asked basic questions, also when I first and last entered Canada.

They told me to wait 10 WEEKS for the PR card. Hopefully I'll get it earlier because I'm going on a trip to different countries in < 3months. Would be a hassle to apply for a travel document while I'm gone since I heard that we have to bring some evidence that we're common-law and such again to apply for it.

Good luck to you all that are still waiting for DM and landing interview. You guys will make it, you've come so far!

I got email that We have an appointment for interview in vancouver.( me and my spouse both needs to appear in interview)
What they Ask in interview and why they need my husband for interview.
Thanks
