Hi everyone just one quick question

I missed my landing appointment because the letter was send
To the wrong lawyer and he never cared to call to say he received
He only called 7 days after to say if I went in for my landing.
What is going to happen what should I do ?

You need to contact CIC ASAP.

Your COPR (which you would have gotten at your landing appointment) is generally valid for one year after the day that you had your medical, which is usually a couple of months after an Inland applicant finally gets their landing appointment. If it's been less than one full year since you had your medical, you might be ok.

This morning we received Sponsor Approval email
Then this afternoon, we received our Landing Interview Appointment letter for next Wednesday!

Our timeline is as follows:
Application Received by CIC on 3 December 2014 (with FBI check and medical)
First AOR 6 Feb 2015
2nd AOR received 5 May 2015
OWP application submitted under the pilot programme on 31 Oct 2015 (received 4 November)
OWP issued dated 4 Feb
SA received March 9, 2015
Interview Scheduled for 16 March 2016 in Vancouver.

What if I cannot attend my appointment with CIC? Can I reschedule it?

Yes. If you are not available on the date and time of your appointment, reply to the local office that sent you the invitation with your reason why you cannot attend the appointment. You must tell us within 30 days of the date of the appointment. We will reschedule your appointment on a different date.

If you did not attend your appointment, you must contact the local office where your appointment was scheduled within 30 days of the date of the appointment to tell us why you missed your appointment. If you do not contact us in time, we can close your application. You will have to apply for citizenship again.


Now, I know it says you'll have top apply for citizenship again, but perhaps they have the same policy for those that are landing as a PR.

For those curious about Etobicoke's timeline for landing interviews:

DM: Feb 25th
Email from Etobicoke scheduling my interview: March 10th
Interview: March 23rd.

Because I live up North they called yesterday to see if I wanted to go to Sault Ste Marie instead since it's technically closer (Highways are way worse so it'll actually take more time to get there). And they told my wife that we should receive an email "soon because they had about 80 other people to contact". She also mentioned that they do landing interviews in Sudbury every 6 months or so, which I was unaware of.

I just saw here couple of people are talking about the interview. Do they call everybody for an INTERVIEW for inland spousal application or its just a regular landing procedure?
If its an actual interview what do they usually ask? If anybody knows anything about it. I would really appreciate.

It's a regular landing procedure, arrive early as there is usually a bunch of people waiting, the officer will collect your PR pictures, previous visas, ask 2-3 questions (crime/dependents/declined entry), you sign the COPR and you're DONE! Then you get the permanent sin and enjoy your life.

I called cic today and they will contact Etobicoke
Office to reschedule an interview. The lady I spoke said I can reschedule
An interview once my pr conformation is still valid.
