I'm from Montreal too and got DM on Feb 4th. Still waiting for the interview. I will update u guys if I get something

Just a quick question, will we be asked several questions that the result may cause refusing the PR or is just like a landing interview of other types of PR? I have AIP, SA, and DM successful and still don't know should I be worried or not? One of my friend had exact same situation and landed a month ago without any problem !

Thank u all..so wat come next after this one???

It's AIP, but some applicants get DM, but you won't get it because got medical request: from 30 to 90 days to final decision. BUT just now I remember that you made last year the medical... it's possible that CIC make a decision soon to you! Good luck ;)

Wow. It's been a long and painful journey.... so happy to report that Hubby landed today!!! I think he is still in shock that it's finally over.... thank you everyone on here for you answers to my annoying questions!

just wanna share that finally got SA and AIP!!! :) got it both on Feb 10, 2016 together with a request for police certificates. While waiting for my PR decision, I am dying to work and help my husband and also get ohip since i've been out of status throughout the whole sponsorship process. Can someone please give me some guide on how to apply for OWP and how long does the processing take. Also, can i apply for ohip with just AIP and no OWP yet. I would really be very grateful for any info you could share.

July 17, 2014- application received
March 18, 2015 -started processing
Jan 18, 2016 - medical request
Feb 10, 2016- SA and AIP, request police cert.

Congrats. That shows that it took 10 months from the time CIC started processing.
You said application was received July 17, 2014. When did you send the application in? Thank you.

This is to share my spouse's timeline for inland.

Application Received : Sep 24, 2014
Medical Requested : Sep 2, 2015
Medical exam done on the day after but wasn't submitted (thought it would be submitted by doctor automatically)
2nd Medical Requested : DEC 15, 2015 (deadline was provided JAN 14, 2016 - submitted on time)
DM : FEB 16, 2016

now Landing interview is scheduled at Vancouver on FEB 19, 2016.

It would have been faster if the medical exam was submitted at first request.... I guess?

Congrats!

Yes, you can get OHIP with AIP. Go to Service Ontario with the proof and you should be covered by the time you walk out. The card itself should arrive in mail few weeks later.

OWP, I got mine in a little less than 4 months, paper should be a little faster than online.
