Oh I was told by the lady at my landing interview though...

Guess there is never one answer to all of our questions ???

How can you expedite your first PR card without paying any extra fees for it at landing? CIC agents at landing has never accepted any extra fees for expediting your PR card. If this was available, every PR applicants landing will be paying to expedite their PR cards, especially those who plan to leave shortly after landing. I know I would pay the extra fees so my wife would get her PR card sooner.

Well, she did say it costs $50, and I believe you don't pay on the spot, you have to call in.

Sorry, really just sharing what I was told at the landing interview here. I didn't ask much further because she did admit that there's no guarantee that you will get it that much faster.

BTW, the one PR photo they only kept? Was it placed on your COPR or sent to CIC-Sydney for PR Card?

Hi!

Is there anyone who has similar time processing as me?

I applied PR on 15 OCT 2014 and my processing has started on 15 July 2015.

In Sep. 2015, I got an approval of 1st stage (Sponsor approval) and done a medical exam in the same month.

In Dec. 2015, fingerprints was made after request.

It will be grateful if you share your updated information.

Thanks,

I'm assuming sent to CIC Sydney, they stuck it on a piece of paper, and they kept that paper.

At least you won't have a problem with your PR card.

So you don't have a photo attached to your COPR?

Maybe starting this week, but I managed to get OHIP with work permit and without AIP a week ago...

Lucky you. I am only working part-time so I didn't bother trying to get an OHIP thinking my application will just be declined.

Pretty much identical to ours.

We received your application to sponsor XXX XXX on October 30, 2014.
We started processing your application on August 19, 2015.

Let's hope so!

The paper that says my landing date and stuff? It is photo less. I guess that's why they let me keep my second photo? It should go with this piece of paper?

I landed last August, no photo on my COPR.

Thanks for your reply. I think we are on the same processing time.

The reason I put this post was that some applicants who applied April or June 2014 already got a decision made.

It makes me little impatient.

Anyway, keep my fingers crossed for you.

You will have a good news soon!

Quick question, Hopefully someone can answer this!

I'm July 2014 applicant. I have been able to log to ecas and see the status of my application.

I have not been able to log in today and yesterday. Knowing that I logged in Last week.

As we say it here, it's "travel at your own risk", but with post-grad work permit and multiple entry visa, you should be fine.

I've done three weeks vacation to my home country (didn't fly with my spouse, we were saving costs), did Mexico without my spouse, and drove to the states few times, ion multiple entry visa alone before getting my OWP, and I was fine.

Thanks,
I am currently applying for my OWP, and there are couple of questions i had doubt about, the question under background information - where it says "have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada" ?
Shoud I say yes as my P.R. application is in process (spouse sponsorship category) or No ?

And secondly do you know what is the document number on work permit ?
