Sorry for being late with the update but here it is:

Landed September 17th in Vancouver. The officer was making jokes about his fancy pen and asked only one question regarding the application. Also, he mentioned that it takes about 90 days to receive a PR card.

I changed my SIN without any problems next day!

Good luck to the rest of you and big thanks for sharing your experience!!!

Hi,

does CIC send you any correspondence after Landing? Besdies the card obviously. This is what my Ecas is saying:
5.You entered Canada at the Edmonton office on September 24, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident.
6.We sent you a letter on September 25, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Cic Sent My File to Etobicoke For further process, it has been transfer since May 2015; is there anyone with same experience? Pls share your experience.

Thanks Folks

I am surprised they would even continue to issue further correspondence after landing. My wife never gotten anything from CIC after landing other than the ECAS update that she landed in Etobicoke office on a specific date.

Exactly, I have no idea what's that about. Unless they've sent the Card already which is highly unlikely.

So we ordered GSMS notes last month since our files transferred to local office before AIP, my husband came and claimed refugee at POE, he was so scared with the VO question at border so he didn't tell the truth a beginning, They also noted in his file that he obtained visitor visa using fraudulent documents when he arrive which we not sure until now why they say that in his file when he arrives Since his passport and all documents is genuine, He never used fraudulent documents

The GSMC note says that his file noted that and that's the reason they transfer to local office for further review
reason for transfer it says eligibility

anyone can shed a light will be useful, how can we prove to CIC that statement is wrong and he did not use fraudulent documents to get his visitor visa

No need to post the same question twice in the same forum (42 minutes apart). ;)

The Etobicoke office is sometimes known as the `Black Hole' of CIC offices, because that's where the majority of cases end up if there are concerns about the application. The waiting times can be unbelievably long!

Good luck!

I know I don't have to post same question twice, is just to show how frustrated I'm

Sometimes they send exactly the same correspondence you received via email, by snail mail a day or so after. So, if you got some kind of email notice that you didn't receive in letter format you may be receiving that.

Yesterday we got a letter in the mail that we got 2 weeks ago by email. It had shown up on ECAS after we had already gotten the email, but it turned out just to be a slow copy.

Hello guys,

Just wanted to post an update. I'm Sep 16, 2014 applicant. My husband received Sponsorship Approval via email this Sunday, Sept 27, from the officer SMC. Today they already updated ecas. It still says "in process", but when you go further, it says "we sent you correspondence about the decision on your application". However in the email it says that the applicant will be contacted shortly, we received nothing since then.

Just a small question. If there is a request for any additional documents, is it sent to the applicant or the sponsor?

Thanks

99% of times CIC sends a request to the Applicant but who can tell - it is the CIC after all

Thanks GustavesF, +1, it will be entertaining if we get an overdue Landing Letter again, just via snail mail haha!

Hi guys I just received an email from CIC that says I have met eligibility as a sponsor!!! We are so happy!
