Hi Jarry,

If you meant coming back to Canada then, of course, you need to have a valid work/study permit as well as a valid TRV. I don't know how it would work with a tourist visa as I never had it and never traveled with it to/from Canada.

Thank you so much Margiela and congratulations for receiving your DM

So after the landing interview its around a 3 Month wait for the PR card..

Does that mean you cant travel out of the country by plane until then??!

If you're from a visa exempt country you can.

I see there's a majority people from April with DM's and landing appointments, maybe CIC will move to May soon...

Hi, I am going for upfront medical exam on Monday. It's Dr. Abikhzer (female) at 5950 Cote des neiges, montreal. Does anyone has any experience with this Dr. Or clinic? Any suggestions will be appreciated:))

They still need to finish half of march. looks like agents are assigned for alternate months. so jan/march/may agents will be same and they are pretty slow.

Again, frustrated by CIC.

When we received AIP in May (feb applicant), it was only requesting fingerprint, and I called CIC about medical test, as it was done in Dec 2013. The agent said the officer has allowed it to be treated as acceptable. Even says Medical received on our ECAS. Today, a letter from office LE requesting medical to be redone. What a joke, disgraceful....

Anyone who has been requested for medical during AIP, how long do you have to wait after for DM?

Lessons learned: do not ever trust them on anything. Do what's required as black and white as possible.

I hate CIC.

I can not believe they are still processing March 19. It will be 2018 before March is finished.

CIC needs to get a computer or two, or AT LEAST break the piles into one-week increments instead of one month. It's brutal that April is pretty much done, and somehow September is getting processed while March still waits.

I was also thinking that, if they process 1 to 2 days per week, is gonna be like 2019 and still on April 2014... I'm oct 2014... Sooo I try to be patient but without knowing the order or how they function is difficult.

Crying of Joy.
Never knew it would happen today- 20 months of nightmare is at its end. Received AIP around at 2 pm this afternoon, and DM followed 10 minutes after.. I never knew I would post this here today...

AOR received:Apr 21 2014
NO SA received.

Congratulations! It's absolute insanity that they took this long to pick up your application.

If I have to wait 20 months for AIP I'm going to go insane.

If your hair is/was only a few inches long when you applied...you could have shaved your head bald a half dozen times by now.
