If you meant coming back to Canada then, of course, you need to have a valid work/study permit as well as a valid TRV. I don't know how it would work with a tourist visa as I never had it and never traveled with it to/from Canada.

Does that mean you cant travel out of the country by plane until then??!

I see there's a majority people from April with DM's and landing appointments, maybe CIC will move to May soon...
GustavesF said:I hate CIC.
I can not believe they are still processing March 19. It will be 2018 before March is finished.
CIC needs to get a computer or two, or AT LEAST break the piles into one-week increments instead of one month. It's brutal that April is pretty much done, and somehow September is getting processed while March still waits.

Never knew it would happen today- 20 months of nightmare is at its end. Received AIP around at 2 pm this afternoon, and DM followed 10 minutes after.. I never knew I would post this here today...
App received: Jan 14 2014(did upfront medical, fees paid)
AOR received:Apr 21 2014
NO SA received.
AIP,DM received:August 28 2015 (AIP- officer NW, DM- officer JM)
Never understood when all other jan 2014 applicants were all getting good news while I was still waiting..
Anyone who's waiting desperately for PR, please hang in there.. Your day will come .

If I have to wait 20 months for AIP I'm going to go insane.
