Good Morning Everyone,

My wife finally got her acceptance email this morning! We will be contacted by the kitchener office soon for the finalization of the PR application! Thank goodness this process is finally over and we are free to move on with our lives! We wish everyone the best of luck with their applications and appreciate all the support and information that we received from this group. Can't wait to make a trip down to the US for July 4!

Also the application was processed by officer JM.

Hi We submitted our application for my husband in Feb 2014
Only update we have on ecas is We received your application to sponsor ....... on February 3, 2014.

Is this normal, I do went through few pages and some submitted later have received AIP

We are from montreal, Some insight will be helpful

Good Afternoon! Just wanted to share my timeline:
Application received: January 24th, 2014 ( medicals and police clearances included)
AOR for a sponsor: May, 8th, 2014
Documents request (new background declaration for an applicant) June, 20th, 2014, sent a week later.
SA June, 3rd, 2015, we paid a RPRF the same day and emailed the proof of payment to CIC.
Email from CIC office in our city about landing interview June, 5th, 2015.
Landing interview June, 16th, 2015!
My ecas changed to decision made Today morning. It says that CIC sent a letter with their decision. We never got AIP nor DM email. And it says they started processing my application on June 3rd, 2015, so the day we received SA.

I still cannot believe this is happening and I am so excited to start a new life as a permanent resident of Canada! Thank you guys for sharing all your good and bad experiences here. I have been here sometimes, but very often with our group on facebook, which is amazing. I remember sophieee adding me here a long time ago. I wish you guys everything the best :D :D :D

Has one who has been processed recently been asked to prove additional proof since when they submitted their application?

Yep. Someone even reported that they were asked to bring more proof to their Inland landing appointment.

2. Medical is required AFTER AIP.
3. Approval in Principle: It means that the sponsor has been approved and the relationship between the applicant and the sponsor has been approved.

hello 2014 inlanders,

I am dropping by from the 2015 inland thread. You get way much more experience with the system so I hope you can help me out.
On IMM5285 question 8 asks about whether you or the sponsor is pregnant.

when we filed my PR app I was not, but now I am.

Once I have the medical confirmation of expected date of birth do I need to send an updated IMM5285 form or do I just pass on the letter from the physician and CIC will do the update?
I have the AOR so I have UCI number already I can use.

I am planning to collect information on pregnancy and giving birth while waiting for PR and start a separate thread to share my experiences, but I am very much at the beginning with this now so your insight is very much appreciated and welcomed:)

thanks!!:)

You can use the 'case specific inquiry' and simply scan the docs from your doctor. You'll find the form here: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.54196655.643377795.1417130213

Is it going to be problem if i do my medical before cic request for it

no, it won't be a problem at all, you should however consider that your medical is valid for one year.

You don't really need to let the doctor know, he/she must be a CiC approved physician and the medical test is always valid for a year.

That's what I thought. Oh, well. Thanks for the comment!

Our daughter was born and is healthy. We are now waiting for the birth certificate which takes 4-6 weeks. Should we wait to send the actual birth certificate to CIC or send the discharge papers from the hospital now?

I am feeling very annoyed right now. I received an email today from CPC Vegreville, and it says that they are not satisfied with the information provided for Work Permit, that I don't have a valid passport!!!!

Yes, my passport was expired and it has been renewed and the copies were sent to Mississaugua as didn't know that they have moved the file to Vegreville!!

Its so annoying and confusing, Please advise what should I do?

Thanks
