Is there a format I should use in sending the document and also I renewed my passport as well
should I send them a copy of my new passport too?

Yeah, definitely send a copy of your new passport!
Include these in your cover letter:

* Surname (last name) - Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document;
* Given name(s) (first name) - Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document;
* Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
* Country of birth;
* Complete address (including the postal code). If the residential address is different from the mailing address, please provide both addresses;
* Telephone number. If you have more than one contact number, please provide them all;
* Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number;
* Online application reference number;
* Type of application (work permit, study permit or visitor record,etc);
* Approximate date that the application was submitted.

Congrats! :) It happened before that CIC sent snail mail instead of email, I don't know why they are doing this. I doubt that you will receive a phone call, at this stage just emails and snail mails.

Thank you Sophie!

I just received an email sent to me this morning for the landing interview! June 9 next Tuesday in Etobicoke!!! You can update the spreadsheet.
I even didn't receive a DM letter..Hope everything will be fine until it's completely done!

Hey guys!!

Seems like lots of good news happening these days! Congrats to all!

We also got SA, and now my wife's updated ecas says they started processing her application May 29!

BUT it seems we have an issue. All documents were accepted except now they are requesting a police clearance certificate from India, and it has to be submitted by June 28 2015.

So we applied for it through BLS services in Surrey BC June 1 2015, and the approximate processing time is 4-6 weeks. Which means we may miss the deadline!!

We emailed our Officer (ABC) at CIC via the email address given on AIP, explaining the situation and asking for an extension to reflect the processing times of BLS. We got an auto-generated email, which says unless the email is regarding these X topics, there will be no response.

What do we do?? We were going to write a letter and fax/mail.
If we miss the deadline, does that mean our application will be cancelled??

[Stress levels high]

Hi Everybody!

I sponsored my wife last year.
We sent our application in October 2014
AOR: January 2015
Medical: April 2015

I have a quick question: Do we have to send the Canadian police clearance certificate to avoid the processing time between AIP and DM or they get it themselves?

Cheers

Hello everyone,

This is my first post.

I have a very basic question.
I am an Indian citizen, currently living in Canada on a study permit. My wife is a PR and we would be applying for my PR soon.

As somebody studying and living in Canada is it possible to apply in the non-inland category and go back to India if and when required for the procedural work?

More importantly what would you guys suggest, applying within Canada or outside?

Thanks.

Hi all,

I posted that I received my AIP this morning, and afternoon I got this letter

"Your final determination for permanent residence interview has been scheduled at the above address on

July 2, 2015 at 2 00 PM."

The title of the email is "Communication from CIC-Vancouver-PRU- Landing Appointment"

Does anyone know what this is?
What kind of interview am I expecting?

Sounds a bit scary

Congrats, that's your landing interview. You're almost done with this heart wrenching processs

Has one who has been processed recently been asked to prove additional proof since when they submitted their application?

Congrats bradychen, ann1e, and BabyP! :)

2Rxist, if you also attached the letter of the request and gave all of your personal information and explained the situation, than it should be okay... Maybe you can also snail mail them the whole package, writing to the envelope Attn: Officer ABC (that's really his/her abbreviation?)

arnin_63: you don't need a Canadian police clearance, unsless it specifically requested, but that's very rare.

JO1986: yes, you can apply inland or outland, that's your choice. Do some research of the processing times.
