Currently I'm looking for a vacation instead of job, as we will risk it and go with my passport and work permit and hope for the best (I'm from a visa-exempt country).

My work permit app was received on Dec 29th and I live in BC.

Actually we had to cancel our honeymoon after our wedding, so it's not really a question where are we going now, but thanks

Thank you The waiting will be so much easier when I will have a job. But even just with a work permit I already feel so much better I hope CIC will keep this pilot project, it's so inhuman to be without a job for such a long time. Everyone should be able to get a work permit during the process.

Yayyyyy...got my OWP today under pilot program!

app. received by CIC on 2014/12/31
OWP issue date 2015/04/22 valid for 2 years

finally! Now just need to figure out if I can travel (business trip) to USA by holding the OWP...am thinking to work for my previous employer (overseas) but they wants me to travel to USA from time to time...just not sure if that will be a problem :-X

Finally got my OWP today. I submitted it around end of December 2014, so keep your hope up guys

Question, once you have OWP can you apply for OHIP? Thanks in advance!

Do you mind spelling out what it exactly say in your landing email? I just happen to find it hard to believe that it is a landing interview if you haven't gotten SA, AIP or DM yet.
