hi ,

They received it Nov.5, 2014, thats the second time, no ecas yet, just wondering why no ecas but aor sept.8,2014. thank you.
If the whole package was returned in October than it counts as a brand new application, so you should have gotten a new AOR. If just some forms were returned and asked for resubmit than your date is still Aug 28.

Hello,

I see on the spreadsheet that people are being asked for a new medical. Is it due to the fact that it is expired, as it's only valid for one year? My husband's medical will expire in a few weeks, and I am a January 2014 applicant, so it will be another few months until they touch my application. I am wondering whether he should do another medical now so that it's ready when they request it, or just wait till they actually request it. I wouldn't want to delay things even more, but then again I don't want to waste $300 if they don't request it... What do you guys think?

Many people are repeating it just now, in similar cases as yours. I have to say, it only adds to the costs and frustration, not long ago CIC was keeping them valid for the whole process...
They will most likely ask you to redo them, maybe just make an appointment and you can always cancel.

The medical is valid for one year but the officer can decide to extend it, some applicants haven't had to redo it after 17 months. You can't know what kind of officer will look into your file.

Thanks MaryLou and Sophieee.
I know we are all January 2014 applicants. Are you guys planning on redoing it or are yours still valid? Also, any idea what's up with the two December 2013 applicants who got AIP yesterday? Expedited procedure? Or is it just CIC being...you know... CIC.

My wife had her emedicals done a few weeks ago and we sent off the umi number to Missassauga. How can you tell they have them? Does it show on the status of your application online? Many Thanks

I'll take the risk and I won't do it again unless they ask for it.

I have absolutely no idea what CIC is doing with the December applicants, they weren't expedited by CBSA, according to the applicants they both have an ordinary application. And people from September are still waiting...

I guess the September applicants have the right to call and harras CIC since the processing time gas passed.
But it sort of looks to me that the CIC has stepped up their game in the last few weeks. I am hoping to receive my AIP in the next 2-3 months.

I'm a September 2014 applicant, so I'm gonna wait patiently and not redo my medicals until/if they'll ask for it.

Sorry, I just realized that there are two applicants with a similar name : MaryLou and Marylou6. It's the other MaryLou that applied at the same time as me.

Hey Everyone! Can someone help me? They recieved our application on 1/15/2014....anytime I try logging in to CIC to check the status of our application it says the information I put cannot be found. So could it be the most likely scenerio that they havent gotten to my application yet or am I putting in the wrong information? Should I be inputting my husbands information?
You can use either yours or his, but whichever one you choose, make sure the UCI and all information matches. (If you are typing it his UCI, make sure you also type in his name and date of birth and vice versa.) The two of you should have separate UCI numbers. Are you the sponsor? If you are the sponsor, you will only have an UCI if you are an immigrant yourself. If you don't have your own UCI, you can also use the application number that appears on your AOR to log in. They received my application just a few days before you (January 10, 2014) and I've been able to log in since February 2014 so double check all the information you are typing in and try again. I hope that helps. Let us know if it worked.

Hello everyone. I wondered if someone could help answer my question. My application was sent Dec 2013 and I sent my wife's medical test along with the application at that time. Obviously that med test has expired now. I am hoping that I will be getting AIP in a couple of months (knock on wood), but obviously if CIC asks my wife to redo her medical test, she won't be able to until our child is born. So do you know if our application will be on hold until our child is born and my wife redoes her med test? Or can I request CIC to accept her med test that was done in 2013? If any of you have any experience or info regarding this matter, I would be grateful. Thank you everyone~

Wow really? I still can't log in! I use the application no. and my fiancés Surname and his date of birth. If I put my data it doesn't work either.

A friend of mine waited about 8 months before she was able to log in, so there is no consistency here. As long as you received an AOR, you are okay. It's not like e-cas shows any useful information. Mine just says "we received your application on January 10, 2014. And it's been showinh the same thing for over a year now.
