thanks everyone, probably is not a good idea to leave canada if i may not get back.

and i have another question:
i checked my status on line it said:We received your application to sponsor XXX on January 20, 2014.
but they sent my uci no. on May 1st which shows"This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/01/20 on behalf of the following member(s)"

so which day is count for the start of 1st stage, 2014.1.20 or 2014.5.1

You can count from January 20 2014. When your ECAS come up?

As of February of this year, all applications (Inland and Outland) go to Mississauga. Many people here applied prior to February.

Good luck!

Thank you! We sent our ;D application November 3, 2014. I hope everything is okay. ;D

Radium,my application was received by cic on September 16th,2014, and I already have received my AOR (a week ago).

Thank you for the info. I'll call CIC and check about mine. We only have 3 days difference. Reading past posts & threads I think they sent mine on wrong email address as my email ends in hotmail.ca and they might have sent it to hotmail.com

I don't think there will be anyone with an AOR that soon. I'm March 2014 and I've got nothing.

I think you should call CIC and check about your AOR. You are March applicant and should have got it by now. I'm calling them tomorrow to check mine.

Well, it's possible. But actually I haven't received any emails from cic yet. My AOR arrived via regular mail.

no problem
i think my ECAS comes up at the end of May.
but ECAS shows :We received your application to sponsor XXX on January 20, 2014.

Someone in the 2013 thread checked their GCMS notes and they said this...

Just received my GCMS notes and we are still waiting for DM. It says on the notes, final decision pending until onan 2015 when inland processing commences. . So i guess here's the reason to waiting forever for apps to be processed. On the bright side, my guess is that everyone should start getting AIP+DM around January, just like last year.

It looks like they are not even Processing applications now until January 2015, which will put the 1st stage processing times to 17 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of people in the 2013 thread are saying they are doing this to push out more AIP's

Do you honestly believe this to be true for ALL applicants? Isn't it possible that the GCMS notes for that person are specific to his/her own application?

And, I disagree that there are "A lot of people in the 2013 thread" saying anything like this at all.

That was just me and my own personal speculation. Because some were beginning to think that NOTHING more will be processed until January 2015 due to the GCMS notes.

My own PERSONAL GUESS was that they are trying to get thru as many AIPs as they can at the moment to drop the 14 month wait time back down a bit. So after AIP is issued the file may be then put back in a queue for DM review/assessment. I was guessing this because a member that applied slightly earlier had a bring forward date of December 2014.

So yes, it is different for every person. But I was just speculating that they may be trying to push out as many AIPs as possible for now before returning to work on giving out DMs. Hence the bring forward dates of Dec 2014 and Jan 2015.

I was just saying those notes do NOT mean they are ceasing to process all applications until that time. :)

Pls where did you send your application to? Mississauga or vegreville?

Hi! We sent our application in CPC-Missisauga.

Hello.

I sent the permanent residence and work permit application together in the end of August. Does anyone know if the work permit application will be processed after the assessment of sponsor or is there a possibility that it will happen before? And what may be the average processing times for processing the work permit application? I have checked the CIC homepage, but can find the processing times about permanent residence only.

I'd be very grateful for some advise.
