Hubby is the only one working too. So everything is on budget but dont worry our time will come, hope sooner than later.
Anyway, the first extension i asked for 1 year they gave me 1 year, this second one, i asked for 2 years they gave me 1 year but is totally fine with me as i am positively hoping i would already get my aip sooner. I just didnt want to lose my status even if i was on implied because of alberta health care. If you have more queries on your extension you can message me, also i included some bank account data, aor etc. i did mine inline and received it in less than a month.

Thank you for the information Shyla, hoping for us to have AIP sooner. May God bless us all the time. :)
Really thank you for the answer Shyla, I hope we can received AIP sooner. Thank you again for the info Shyla :)

Do any June or later applicants have access to Ecas? I applied June 5 and AOR was August 8 and still no access to Ecas.

I received AOR same time as yours, and can't log to see my status via ecas. I called only yesterday to ask and what call center said, it won't be there until the application will be in process. Weird, coz some already can see after they received AOR.but that's alright, it's a matter of patience to wait. :)

To everyone who is wanting to check their ecas.... I understand it is nice to be able to see the confirmation, but just so you are not too disappointed, it is really very unhelpful. I have heard many cases where you get notification LONG before they update the ecas, if they even update it at all.

All it has shown...since Sept 2013 is this:

We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXXXX on August 14, 2013.

We started processing your application on September 26, 2013.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And in my husbands even less. It just says:

We received your application for permanent residence on August 14, 2013.

Hi guys... pls is it possible to use someone else's credit card to pay for the application fee as long as you have same last name? Also how long does it take to obtain the receipt form?thank you

Yes you can use someone else's credit card. We used my brothers card paying the fees online. You just need all the details (card number, expiry, and the CCV number at the back). You will need to sign up and submit your email. It will generate a barcode. Print that barcode and send it together with the application.

Hello,

I'm a January 2014 applicant and we've just found I am pregnant. should I notify CIC about my pregnancy?
Also I had my medical exams done on December 2013. Do you think I will be asked to redo them?

Thank you

Pls did anyone here submit a solemnization of marriage instead of the marriage certificate. Our marriage certificate isnt ready yet but we have the solemnization of marriage.

All I know, if you are done with your medical, you don't need to worry about it. But once your medical expired, you will need to re-medical again. I am not sure how, but let's see if someone who experienced will gonna answer all of your questions.

Medical is valid for 1 year, but CIC will sometimes extend that. The OP should wait to hear from CIC before having a second medical.
