will my sponsor get his UCI when we get AIP? or when? Thanks so much!

The sponsor UCI should be out at the point where you receive AOR. Just note though that if you already have UCI numbers (from other immigrations documents - even from years ago), CIC may not email you the AOR (in my case) and you will need to log in to get the information.

I don't know what's going on with AOR, but they seem pretty backlogged with new applications. Thought it was supposed to be 1-2 weeks?

Hopefully those waiting (like myself) will get it within the next few weeks..

I just called CIC and they are working on applications they received Nov 18,2013.
I mailed mine Dec 02 and they received it by Dec 05 and I have not received my AOR too....getting there though. Patience.

App received: Dec 3rd
AOR: Jan 10th

Great to hear! So they're over a month behind... I did notice that inland PR processing times was updated today:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

It says they're working on Feb 23, 2013 apps right now, which would be inline with the 2013 thread which indicates they're into March.

Application Submitted: March 3, 2013
Application Received: March 20, 2013
Open Work Permit: Submitted together with the spousal application
Medical: Just got the email with the paperwork, will hopefully be getting it soon!
Fees: Paid upfront

I have a couple of weird questions though. Shouldn't my wife have received an email about her being approved as a sponsor before I got the email with the medical information? Also, the website still doesn't show our application as processing, just received. If they're having me do the medical wouldn't it be moved into the next step?

We are a little frustrated because the strike seemed to cause a pretty major hold up and happened just right after we submitted our application.

Some people get the medical request before they receive the AIP email. I would wait a couple days to a week and then if you haven't heard anything try ask the call centre. If it's ecas you are checking it really doesn't change anything. We got AIP and a medical request but our ecas still says the same.
