Hi Every one
Me and my spouse receive email for AIP last week. They now requested medical and security check for my spouse. My question is that how long it will take from now before we receive final decision and set up the interview or landing which ever applicable.

Please guide me in this regard.

Once they issue us the PR card, is that condition for few years or its for the full 05 years span. We have one baby boy too.

I made some charts, it shows how crazy is the process compared to 2013:

You can me to that spreadsheet if you'd like.
Application received: November 13, 2014
AOR: January 27, 2015
Hubby's country of origin is China, and is currently on a OWP.

Haven't heard a word since.

I can't see them on my phone. Is 2014 a lot better than 2013? I feel like 2013 sucked.

I believe she's showing that the 2014 apps are being processed all over the place in terms of order.
A few people from January.
A few from February.
All of April.
10 people from March.
More from January.
More from February.
5 people from March.
2 from August.
All of September.
1 more person from March.
Remainder of January.
etc...
No order at all.

Whereas the 2013's essentially processed in order.

Now, *during* 2014, when the bulk of 2013's where processed, CIC was a complete garbage circus and did no processing at all for about 8 months.
I suppose it makes sense, CIC was a complete pile during 2014, and was staggeringly incompetent throughout that horrible year, so it's no wonder they can't seem to manage to keep the files from 2014 in order.
They're probably individually pulling them out of whatever disaster they're stuck in and just processing them as they find them.

Keep in mind, during 2014 their filing system was "dogs", as in, they used dogs to do the filing in some adjacent junkyard.

I'm working on IMM 5285, question 2, 7, and 12 that all ask for proof/photos in an attached page. Do I need to include ACTUAL photographs (4 x 6, printed at a photo lab)? I created a photo collage in Word of about 10 pages, with 3-6 photos of varying size per page. All people/dates/places are labeled and I have my name, form number, and question number at the bottom of each page.

Will this suffice or does CIC need standard printed photographs all the same size?

That should be enough, we did a 40 page 'love story' in Word, a document with pictures and comments from the day we've met until the day we've sent out the application. We didn't include any standard photographs at all.

I had my wedding photos in JPG files, So I printed on MS Word and color printed like you are doing.. it was about 10 photos of engagement, 20 photos of wedding and another 10 photos of our trip and etc.
and labelling underneath every single photo.
I think that will suffice as long as the photos show the genuine relationship of you guys. :-)

Website is updated: "Working on applications received March 21, 2014, and September 16, 2014".

I'm still 11 CIC days away from being able to call in.

Another 6 weeks of limbo...

What do you expect? You submitted your application on April Fools day. LOL!

If it said that it's been edited again. It now only mentions the March 21 date.

Hahaha, of course!

Well, that's when they signed for it. On their system it shows up as April 2.
April Fools day is, of course, a Holiday for CIC. ...for obvious reasons.

That was just a joke on my part in response to CIC processing more September applicants over the past month than March applicants.

I am sponsoring my husband from Denmark. I haven't find anyone yet with the same story as mine. They received our demand on October 27th 2014. We got a miscommunication from CIC a few months after they received our demands, asking to proceed for the CSQ (since we are in the province of Quebec). We were happy, of course. But a week later, they resent a email saying that it was a mistake, that we shoudn't send anything, but it was too late. They also said in the email that Immigration Quebec will be contacted. They never did because we received the CSQ anyway! Since we received it in April, we received another email with the UCI so we can access to our file online. From this... no more news.

I don't know how long it will take, but as far as I know, northern countries of Europe aren't common countries to deal with, since I haven't found so many cases related to Swedish, finnish, norwegian, neither danish people. So... yeah. We're hoping to get some news soon.

If anyone is in the same situation as us, could be nice to know and chat...

Good morning,

This question is for Radium or anyone else who can help.

My wife and I are traveling outside Canada and returning together to Canada.

My wife has an Open Work Permit.

When confirming our plane ticket online, they ask the reason for the trip.

They ask is it for: Business, Leisure or Immigration.

What should my wife put down? Business or Leisure?

Thank you all for your help!!!
