I didn't receive DM and my eCAS still says "In Process", but I got landing appointment for August 11th ;D ;D ;D

Hey everyone!!!

After waiting so long I finally got an email from CIC saying that my application process has been completed and when I look on ECAS it says "decision made" ....and I still have questions!

The email says that my local immigration office will contact me to arrange an appointment for the finalization of my PR application....and to bring my passport. Does this mean they need to interview me before they make a final decision? If so what kind of questions could they possibly ask that I have already answered in my application? ...or is this a landing appointment?

If it truly means that this whole process is over and they will finally give me permanent residency ....how frowned upon is it if I go back to the states as soon as I can after I receive PR? Before I truly settle here I would like to see my family...I haven't seen them in over 2 years....

Any advice/answers would most certainly be welcome!

I got my SA on may 15 i think.
didnt get AIP or DM but on ecas it shows application in process July 20th , and just DM .

They will contact you for your landing interview. From what I've read on this forum they ask 3 basic questions. It's nothing to worry about. Congrats to you both

My application was sent on Nov 6th 2013,

Missboon if you are from the US , you can go there right after your landing appointment , as you will only need your passport and your COPR when you come back , this also applies if you are not from the US and you are visa exempt to Canada and the US

Don't they request your passport after the landing appointment? Or do they stamp it with a special stamp? Also how come it doesn't say on my ECAS 'interview waived' ?

Not much update with my ecas, only my home address was added to the mailing one for the applicant, sponsorship is still in process.
