. So do I have to use the imm5710 form? If I do, do I have to attached the letter from cic that they received my application or doesn't have to? Where do I send the application for open work permit? I read some of the forum sometimes they get refused because they do not locate the application if it's not together with the sponsorship application?
I am nt sure which forum; hopefully senior can help you. I think its better, at the moment, to send restoration along with extension to remain in canada with the letter you received... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visitor.asp

Okay, so, in January, 2015 they will work on apps received in July, 2014. There are 11 weeks till then - let's say 10, I doubt that they are working during Christmas-, and there are 11 months of apps till July, 2014. So from now on, starting today, CIC should process more than one months of apps every week - almost one week of apps every working day.
I know that we already saw something like this back in January-February, still, I highly doubt that it will happen again and it will endure for three months. Hope I'm wrong.

That would be wonderful, it's hard being a one income earner while waiting for AIP, that open work permit means so much to so many people.

Hey guys,

I'm totally new here, so it is possible that someone has already asked the question I wanted to. Sorry for that.
My husband (Canadian citizen) is sponsoring me. We submitted our application on 30th July. It was delivered to CPC Mississauga on August the 1st. On 25th of August I receive AOR. On the 9th of September I got my documents back as one of the forms was out of date (they updated that one before my application package was opened :( ). We resubmitted our documents on Sep 16th.

So, my question is if I should expect getting new AOR?? Or should I just use application number from the first one?

Thanks

it was for a different question asked by a guy name Felix B.

the question was asked in french.

twitter.bumebox.com/qa/
Hey folks. This was us writing in french as we thought there might be more chance in C.Alexander replying.. which worked.

We said.. "Le gouvernement conservateur veut-il des immigrants? Si oui, pkoi de si longs délais pour ceux déjà au Canada? #askAlexander @MinChrisA"
>> "Does the conservative government want immigrants? If yes, why such long delays for those already in Canada?"

The answer he gave was vague & not specific to inland. "Nous renons 260K par an! A partir du 1er janvier, traitement en 6 mois ou moins!"
>> "We receive/process 260k per year! From 1st Jan, process in 6 months or less!"

He wrote in the present tense, but what he said could be referring to the past (apps are being processed in 6months or less since Jan 2014- which may be the case for some visas, but obviously not for those of us inland)
OR
it is possible he meant in the future (apps will be processed in 6months less from Jan 2015- which is a little hard for him to commit to in my opinion)

He didn't elaborate any more after that or reply to follow up qs. But anyway, we think the 260k he mentions is related to the 2014 targets announced in 2013 http://www.immigration.ca/es/2013/86-canada-immigration-news-articles/2013/december/627-cic-announces-2014-targets-for-spousal-sponsorships.html
260K is the total number of PR spots available, not necessarily just for spousal/family visas.

Immigration Minister Chris Alexander has announced plans to welcome nearly 50,000 sponsored partners, spouses and children in 2014.
In its annual immigration target levels report released last month, Citizenship and Immigration Canada indicated that 68,000 of an approximate total 260,000 immigration spots will be reserved for family sponsorships – 48,000 of those will be spouse and children sponsorships, while 20,000 are designated for parents and grandparents.

You will not receive new AOR. Just use the one they already provided you. Did you include copy of your AOR when you resubmitted your application?

Since it counts as a brand new application I think you should get a new AOR. But if you already have a UCI, you can use it to log in to eCAS, it must be working in a couple weeks.
