I forgot to mention, in case anyone is interested, the officer's initials are DPK.

I'm not sure if this is happening already, but it would be great if the immigration officer's initials were tracked in the spreadsheets when possible. Because officers have so much discretionary power, people have long suspected that decisions about applications are based more on the officer's temperament or mood than the actual application itself. If the officer's initials were tracked, this could be used to see if there were trends in how long officers took to process applications, and if some have higher refusal rates, requests for more information etc. than others.

I think that could be a powerful tool when requesting an inquest, an audit, or when making a court challenge.

Hi Sophieee.

Where did you add that info about officers? I checked the spreadsheet but cant seem to find it. The officer is working on my app is OFFICER MSI-ER4, anyone on the same boat?

The officer who gave us AIP/SA was PKA-ER4, although the one who asked for document request was MNG-ER4. I haven't received my DM letter though.

Officer MFE - for our SA and DM (no AIP was ever received)

my officer is TD

We're going to call CIC tomorrow to find out how to withdraw an OWP that was sent via mail. Basically we're in the same boat - received DM last friday, but had submitted for a OWP through the pilot program on April 13th. We had called about this a while ago and they said they would email us the steps.

Of course, the steps they provided were if you submitted online (after AIP received) - go figure. We still submitted a withdraw request via the Çase Specific Enquiry' form and chose application type 'Temporary Resident (mailed) - Work Permit'. Figured it was worth a try to get something in electronically. I'm pretty sure we'll just have to mail a written request - but I'll let you know what we find out! (When the fee with be refunded to our account, if they refund it at all - who even knows...)

Congratulations on DM! Hope you get your interview date soon!

Any luck with how to go about withdrawing the OWP app? How was your landing date communicated to you?letter or email?
