We sent the OWP app with our PR application. We received the OWP under the pilot program because we do not yet have AIP

Hopefully we will get it soon though (fingers crossed)

We sent our PR application Dec. 2013 and then submitted a online OWP application in Feb. 2014, because my husbands work permit was expiring in a few months. We still haven't got the OWP even though people who applied mid 2014 received their's

OMG.....

This is either really bad or really good news...

Sorry I have been MIA..

Has anyone from August 2013 got DM???

My husband just got this:
Dear XXXXXXXXXX:
This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in ETOBICOKE will contact you to arrange an appointment for the
finalization of your permanent resident application.

But my husband has the record in the US, and they told me processing time would be much longer for us, plus they never requested his record check for Costa Rica which we did not send with the application????????

Is this likely a refusal then??????????

I am in shock and shaking and terrified right now....

They shouldn't be "pleased" to refuse you. I think it was a final approval.

Congratulations ! That's looks like a positive DM to me , if you order atips notes today , you will know (in 30 days ) why they didn't ask for Costa Rica ' s police report .
But again , that looks like a positive DM letter !

Well, it's never a guarantee, but I'm going to agree with civic in saying that this should be good news, although it is odd that he wasn't asked for the Costa Rica PCC.

Hey gang if you haven't singed this petition yet be sure to sign wether your a 2013, 14 or 15 applicant we need to get the ball rolling on CIC to start processing our apps.
This petition might be a long shot & might not work but this is getting a bit too much it has taken CIC nearly a one year to process 3 months of apps. But as CIC told us back in Feb 2014 the move to CPC-M is meant to speed up processing what a load of BS.

My partner applied online for an OWP while she was on implied visitor's status. We had to fudge the date since the online questionnaire doesn't have an option for implied status. I asked CIC about this and after a couple tries found a knowledgeable person and he said the online questionnaire is only there to direct you to the appropriate forms and that the VO doesn't consider it so it wouldn't be misrepresentation. I believe it says this on the website somewhere.

In any case my partner did it this way and got her OWP beginning of Dec with no issues.

Thank you so much Linden, I'm applying online, after AIP :)
