Waw ! Many congratulations ! So happy for you! Those are good news . It seems like it is the first OWP approval under the pilot program. Sophieee, she doesn't have AIP. just SA.

People with only SA were able to get OWP even before the pilot. See flange or fishbone for example.

I know people are excited for the first of the pilot program OWPs to be issued (I am too :D), but I think we should wait until it's clear that that was the cause of a OWP being issued before celebrating. When September applicants start getting them, we can say that the program is up and running.

How come they receive OWP with SA ? is that possible ?
flage and fishbone Have you done something in particular after receiving SA ?

Happy new year guys ! I think that the owp that Anascore received its part of the new pilot program , unless she was AIP this week and just doesn't know yet .
And like RRsweet feels , I'm also wondering if all this will delay the case to the ones awaiting for DM , I want to think that it will not delay it , will see this coming weeks !

I dont think its the new pilot program working yet. Anascorse is an aug 14th applicant, and have SA approval. And as sophiee mentioned some got owp even with just SA. Regardless, if its the new pilot then good, cause it means that they work by the date the apps are received.
If they can work as fast as they did last year around this time , then they can issue owp for the rest of 2013 in a month or so. (1 month worth of app every week). Could be wishful thinking though... But who knows

Hey jayshe25

your timeline is close to mine I'm a July 29th applicant. My ecas has said received medical for a while now. Seeing that there's not much to stage two, I believe our apps are sitting in a pile collecting dust. woodyc anda few others from June and July 2013 are still waiting DM and past the 8 month mark. It's my understanding that they've contacted the call center several times with no clear answers as to why no DM given yet. My fear is that DM will become lost in the mix as I don't believe that have any kind of reminders somewhere showing applications that have passed the 8 month second stage timeline. What's happening i believe is they are only reminded once they receive the email the call center sends after you call, which I've also heard takes a month for them to even look at. The whole process is absurd and complete nonsense! Im sooo over it!

A friend of mine called cic and they told her that as it is written on the website " Important notice: There are two consecutive steps in processing family sponsorship applications. In order to know the total approximate time you must ADD the times together. "
meaning the TOTAL approximate time is 24 month and they are taking into consideration the date when you applied not just 8 month after AIP. They have no problem, no additional request, nothing and they already have 1 year since AIP.
:o

and if I'm not mistaken about, the Total column was recently added and for inland it is written Total 24 month like they want to tell us to learn to count 16 + 8 = 24

if someone is interested in the
instructions for the processing of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) documents at inland CICs

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob402.asp

I was surprised to see that "The applicant has the option to contact an inland CIC to arrange landing (OB 076) " ??? because from what I read on this forum I saw people waiting a lot to get their schedule for landing interview ?
