Hi! Just go to Philippine Consulate in downtown and you can get your finger prints there. You need to go back tho because they need to verify and then after that you need to send it back to Philippines to process it. I did mine last Octover, btw here's the address and telephone no.

I hope it will help you. Happy New Year!

Serenity and September 11, happy new year guys. Thanks for your kind reply. I did mine before but it's expired and CIC asks me a new one. But NBI changed their rules. I have to get finger printing only by RCMP with seal on the form but vancouver returned it to me saying the same thing has to stamp or seal by RCMP. Now where exactly I can get my finger prints or which RCMP that they know what they are doing. I'm so frustrated the keep returning the form.

I'm present residing at angus Ontario , I'm been here at canada 4years going to 5 years on February, I'm came here to work as caregiver then I get married September 2013 , my husband is a Canadian citizen then instead I apply my caregiver application , we apply family sponsor / spouse together with that I have my Open work permit application too we send that January 2014 then come back February coz some of form is not updated so we update that then send it again same month February then by August I think then send back my application of open work permit coz they say I own them 5$ coz the processing fee is increase 5$ before it's 150 then increase 155 so they told to me to resend that when I have receive a letter from immigration so my work permit is expired that time so I need to get a status here so the fast to get is visitor permit to remain in canada but the thing is my Ohip is already expired too & I'm pregnant so everytime I go for check up I'm paying something, my question is is there anything I can do to have a letter for immigration for applying of my open work permit so that I can get a OHiP or any letter can I give to Get Ohip card , my due date is 2nd weeks of February , when I submit that application the processing time before is 9month then it when up as the month goes by:( I just want to apply my open permit & get a Ohip & bring my son here in canada to wait for the decision of my application of permanent residence .
Hope u could help me , thank u very much for help, god bless

I read / see this cic news - The government of Canada has launched a pilot program issuing open work permits to certain spouses and common-law partners of Canadian citizens and permanent residents in the Spouses or Common-Law Partners in Canada class (SCLPC). Applicants making an Inland application (i.e. while residing in Canada) for permanent immigration to Canada may now be issued open work permits before the ‘approval in principle’ decision has been made on their application.

So what this means that inland sponsor spouse can apply now even no 1st approval for the application hows that work or is there a form for the spouse for OWP? Please help or any advice , thank u very much:)

I see also in this forum that very fast process for the Application but how come I didn't hear anything for my application till now, hope I get help or suggestion , thanks everyone:)

Hello my waiting buddies,
today I went to my mailbox, like every day since 16months and 14days, and big surprise !!!!
3 brown enveloppes!!!
1. letter from CIC to tell me that my OWP is on its way!!!!
2. letter from BC health with my HEALTH CARD!!!!!!! valid from dec 1st. incredible!!!!
and
3. letter from CIC with my beautiful OWP!!!!!! valid until 2017

I am speechless, happy, and grateful!!!!!
So I must share this with all of you,
the letters from CIC were both stamped by Canada post on dec 22nd. probably they wanted to give me this as Christmas present. Thank you CIC and Canada post, I am very happy even though it came a little late, normally I should have received it at the same time as my AIP in November.
On my work permit the only restriction which made me laugh for hours :
not allowed to work in the sex related industry.... massage.....and escort....

my fellow I hope I could sheer you all up with this and make you laugh for a moment. Please keep your minds joyfull, the coming year is ours!!!!!

I wish you all a very happy start into the new year and thanks for all your helpful comments. I will put a candle and say lots of prayers for all of you.
I start to party right away today and after New Years Eve, I'll knock on every HR's door, I have nearly 17 months of work to recover.

Your application was received Sept 12th 2013? how did you get your OWP processed so quickly? did you send your OWP application WITH your PR application?

I'm sept 18th app and i would love to have mine in hand like you did!

congrtz btw ;)

Hi Inlanders, I have a quick question about submitting an application for an OWP. My partner and I applied for sponsorship in December 2013 but we did not submit an OWP with our application, and because my partner has since fallen out of status we don't quality for the new OWP pilot program.

We need to wait until AIP to get our OWP, but since we think that may take a while, I wanted to submit an OWP application now with an indication not to process it until AIP is granted. I would like the OWP application to be there when they look at our file, so that the OWP can come as quickly as possible once we get AIP.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do this, and which office we should apply to (Vegreville or Mississauga)?

Thank you and happy new year!

I submit mine along with the PR app, but i'm pretty sure you can do this. I know other people on here sent in the OWP app months after they submit their PR application. They just included instructions "please attach to my PR application 'insert APP # " and also include a copy of your AOR email.

Also, i read that people on here wrote on the top of their PR application "please process once AIP is issued"

maybe some other can share their thoughts..but ive read people doing this multiple times...

No, their application was received August 18 th! AOR september 12th.

Ohhh thanks..

I got confused.... the date that matters is "your application was received XXXX" ..when you receive that notice is irrelevant... what matters is when THEY receive it

thanks,

You should send it to Mississauga, and as bankerguy advised, attach and explanation letter with all your personal information and ask them to attach to your PR app and also ask them to do not process it before AIP.

hi everyone! we had our application passed last november 2013 and until now we haven't heard anything. i didn't passed a work permit application (i didn't know that it should be with the sponsorship app). i'm just wondering if i can apply for an open work permit application now? do i have to wait for CIC's approval first before applying? thanks!

Yes thats enough for you to have an implied status. Restoration is for those who just lost their legal status as worker or visitor. And you can only restore within 90 days after your visa expired.
