Canadian permanent residency delays could force family apart.

Look at below CBC news article. I hope CIC read this and take some actions for a change.

For all the people who are currently in this process including myself, let us keep the faith.

Happy holidays.
:)

I bring good news to all of you.
I just received my full AIP ( including email to applicant that say met eligibility to become a PR etc.)
Says you will receive separate correspondence re your work permit application.
So does that mean that owp now in process? Should i just wait for it in the mail? For those who got their owp in the mail, did you get the same line in your email? I also did my medical last auguts 2. It didnt mention about it. ( sorry too many questions-:))
Thank you so much for this forum. Goodluck to my remaining waiting buddies.

its doesn't matter. CIC not gonna open it right away. We still have to wait again.

I was looking on my the GCMS note to see when they received my CSQ - I send it on 2013/12/11

" received 2013/12/16
created date 2013/12/19 "

it looks like they were moving fast.
The question is how long it will take them to make a decision.

We are August 16th applicant. We were asked to send marriage certificate and additional documents to proof relationship on Nov 10th. We sent them to CPC-M on Nov 20th by Xpresspost. I checked from Canada Post website that they received it on Nov 25th. It's now been almost a month and still no answer from CPC. I also sent couple of emails to the same email address and still no answer.

:( sorry to hear that .

Do you have the same officer : RDO ?

It takes them well over a month to open mail. If you call the CIC call center they will send an email for you but CIC processing has 3 months to reply TO THEIR OWN CALL CENTER. don't worry they have it they just aren't doing anything

What???
You sent the additional documents on Dec 3rd and you already got the AIP?
What's going on. We sent our documents on Nov 21st and still haven't heard anything back.
Is there something different you did?

It looks like Pari7896 received AOR and request for more proofs on December 3 and after sending them the requested docs he received AIP on December 10

Like I mentioned before, I also thought CPC was mocking me when I first saw the initials. :P :P
This guy name really represents CPC and CIC.

Under family sponsorship, click sponsoring spouse common law inside canada, then put the info of sponsor, hus uci, birthday, and place of birth, then youll have his details. I just checked mine and showed up.
Its basically the same page when you check yours as applicant, you just need to put sponsor's details.
Have you called again to cgeck your owp?

yes that is the same as I do, it shows mine, but for my hubby it fails all the time.

for my OWP I called last Friday and it is still the same, they have sent an email but nobody has looked at it so far. I asked if applying online again for OWP would speed the process and was told that the delay is 30 days in theory, in reality it is rather 40+ days and that I would not get the fees from the first application back. the girl on the phone was friendly and suggested to wait a little bit more.

I really don't know what to do. we do not have a lot of money and we have already paid all the fees upfront.

I just tried again to check my hubby's ecas. Nothing!!!!! this is what I get each time:

As the sponsor, I was never able to check my status. I get the same message.
It only works for my wife (applicant) and all it shows is "Application Received".

A while ago, I remember people posting that they were able to check the status if they put '-' between the UCI number. Do you want to try that? (It still doesn't work for me though)

I tried.... but nope, does not work.

I think from August 16th we both are still waiting for CIC to react you for AIP and me for OWP, somebody does not do his work as he should. Although my letter was not signed by BS.....

Yeah, it's BS. :P It's hard to accept that some officers are better than others and we are the unlucky of the unluckiest ones. :-[ :P
How much longer do we have to wait, seriously...
