I will wait until you hear first.
If someone who applied after us get the AIP, that's when I will call them.

I am assuming it is just a generic message, but on my letter it has a section about paying the RPRF (Right of PR Fee), we paid our full application upfront, like the $1040 or whatever it was....

That means we don't need to worry about paying more, correct??

now I firmly believe AIP only takes a few mouse clicks to process. 14 months delay is ridiculous :)

So this RFPF thing...it is a bit confusing, even on my GCMS, it says this:
Amount Required (CAD): 490
Amount Paid: 490
Initial Balance: 490
Amount Allocated: 490
Amount Owed: 490

So why does it say Amount Owed $490 if it also shows that the $490 was paid?!??

Email them the receipt of your payment. He only needs it during landing in your local cic office. Congrats :D

*whispers in her ear* It's still official, even if hubby doesn't have his. They don't approve the sponsor then decline to move along with the spouses application. Sometimes they are slackers and don't send the official AIP email to the applicant. If they don't do that, just pester them every couple of days and they will send one eventually. I had to do that back when.

Congrats!

So because I am approved as the Sponsor, even if he doesn't have the email yet, it is the FULL OFFICIAL AIP?? He will should still get his OWP no matter what now?? Still worried about if his USA record could result in a refusal....but at least with an AIP and OWP, we don't really care if it takes another year at this point. I mean it would be great to have it sooner, but we can get back to real like with OWP at least!!!!

Congratulations!

Did he ever submit an application for Rehabilitation, with the `for information only' box checked?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/rehabilitation.asp#a1

Since his 10 year anniversary date for his conviction will be April 5, 2015 (10 years after the end of his sentence)...it's possible that he would not be deemed rehabilitated, but ONLY if his crime equates to an indictable offence in Canada. The $64k question is...does it?

Yes, we did submit the Application for Rehabilitation with the For Info Only box checked. At the same time we submitted our PR. We sent a copy of this Application along WITH the PR application and a letter explaining the situation.

This is why Etobicoke sent CPC-M that email, saying they have the Application for Rehabilitation with the For Info Only box checked, and they are wondering if CPC-M would like the Application for Rehabilitation with the For Info Only box checked forwarded to them in Mississauga, or if CPC-M will transfer our file to Etobicoke.

I am hoping since Etobicoke offered CPC-M that option, it must mean that it doesn't HAVE to go there, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Do you know Ponga? Since I got my email that I am approved as a Sponsor, does that mean that he is for sure going to get his OWP??

Congrats ACS! Great news for you.

Just so you know I still have only received the SA, no AIP email to this date and it has been a month. We recieved the OWP 2 weeks ago, so hopefully that means you should be getting yours too :)

So if you have OWP, it means you must actually have the AIP then. Don't you need the AIP letter to apply for health care and stuff??

Congrats ACS!!! great news. hoping for more AIPs

Congratulations ACS. I told you your AIP will surprise you today,,, I am so happy for you,,,one step closer to our dreams
