Which options did you dial through? Did you go through the PR card options? The guy I was speaking to on the phone the other day was no help at all, telling me that the delays were because there was a high volume of cards to process... and just kept repeating that in different words every time I asked him a question about it. Really? Is that why? I think anyone would have been able to figure that one out. I'll have to call back and see if I can get any info on that.

Congrats Lauraks! Breathe easy! :)

Thank you so much and thank you to everyone for your well wishes!!

hey kaira1 :
I dont know if its the same for every office. but i am landing in Montreal. I got DM on feb 28th and i got my landing letter on april 28th so... two months after... ! I contacted CIC telecenter in between just to know what was going on. The agent told me that officially, they have 8 weeks (2 months) to contact you after DM, but he could see in my file "letter sent"... few days after i got my landing letter, so i will say that they do know. Some agents are less "usefull" than others,... I called two times before getting a nice agent who actually took the time to check instead of telling just to "wait"... so I say, wait till your 8 weeks, and if nothing happens, contact CIC telecenter, cuz there's no way on contacting your landing office...

good luck and God bless!

I thought DM (stage 2) only comes like 8 months after AIP? Am I confusing things?

Hi @princesultan,
yeah you are "kind of" right. The stimated time for DM (stage 2) is 8 months... this means that from AIP to DM, CIC has 8 months to reach a decision, which can also come earlier depending on your file. Some files take longer (doubt of the relationship, criminal stuff, etc etc WHO KNOWS!) but some others consider smooth files, pass faster. Like @pritha getting AIP and DM at the same time, has happen to a few people, just check the spreadsheet, you'll see. In my case, I got DM 50 days after AIP (cuz i didnt submit medicals)...
Depends on your file and the agent working on it... its another cic mystery! :D

Good luck, God bless

Congratulations to everyone receiving news / progress on their applications!

oh lala! GREAT NEWS FROM A LOT OF PEOPLE! AWESOME THAT MISSISAUGA IS WORKING! (i wonder if they were scare for the actions we were taking by signing a petition and everything!!??? ::)
So hey! Ill be landing this thursday! I think i went over my documents at least a thousand times! :-X
Some people recommend to bring hubby's drivers license with our address so they can see our addresses "match" but hey, i dont have a driver's license or any other document with my address.. our accounts in the bank are on hubby's name and all our bills is the same thing... i guess there's no way for me to proof my address... This is not in the document's list .. but some people said they were asked about it... any ideas?
Also, what did you do to be able to sleep in the days before landing!??? i havent slept since saturday i think! hahahaha.. any ideas for the dress code? I mean.. i know it has to be a bit formal but ... how did you dress?
thanks!!!!

Good luck and God bless!

ps. no one answered so i quote myself -dont hit me! :( -

Also, I was wondering if i will get a conditional PR? is not that it matters a lot i mean hubby and I will stay together anyway :P hahaha.. but just wondering! We have been Living together since may 2010 but we only got married on july 2011, which means, when we submit our app march 2013 we werent 2 years married yet... so, will cic only count the time that we were married in the lock-in day, or will they count our time common-law as well?

MaxLet! Good luck tomorrow in your landing!!
Finally the big day has arrived :)
