Has anyone called CIC contact center and asked when they will start actually processing inland apps at CIC-M ??

seems like the files were moved over 2 months ago... and they still haven't even started processing them yet... i cant think of a reason why it'd take so long..
3 weeks maybe... 2 months??? w.t.f.

Just to be clear. SOME june applicants received AIP or AIP/DM prior to the files being moved to CIC-M ? correct?

Yes, I agree. No one has seemed to hear anything from CPC-M and it's pretty ridiculous for them to say the move has not caused any delays, yet no one has heard anything for months and they just updated Thursday moving ahead 13 days. Hopefully we start hearing people receiving AIP emails

What exactly is this ITN? And can you just apply for it online?
I have been waiting for over a year for my child payments because they say I can't get them until my husband can provide a SIN number...
ITN is individual tax number and it is for people who aren't eligible for SIN or temporarily one (start with 9)
Here is the link to apply for ITN . You should receive it in 45days. if it has been longer than that give them a call. also send along with ITN application another application which they determine your status from tax purpose in Canada.

ITN is a temporary tax number. This is for people who are not yet residents of Canada but wish to file a tax return i.e. - students, and spouses of PR applicants etc. You can find the form on CRA website. Give them a call they're pretty helpful. The ITN actually takes about 60 days to receive. If your husband has already filed a return or is planning to file soon you can always do an adjustment on the return after to get the dependent credits.
ITN is NOT temporary tax number. Its individual tax number. the temporary one start with 9

Isn't that a temporary SIN, if it begins with a 9?

OK didn't realize that point is so critical.

Just wondering if you ever got your BC MSP coverage?

I had to fight but I finally received my card last week. Yay!

ITN start with 0. the only thing it is good for is when you apply for tax return. Temporary number you can obtain if you have work permit or study permit with employment offer from certain bodies.

Really? Nice. I talked to someone from MSP last week after they gave me a letter stating my partner doesn't qualify for MSP. The guy I talked to said my partner couldn't get it even after I mentioned what's written in the Medicare Act. I hadn't got around to emailing my MP about it yet. How were you able to get it if you don't mind me asking? Who did you talk to you?

I really hope somebody post good news here this week. It's been too long a wait for us..

You can apply for ITN if you are expecting money from the government like tax child benefit. ITN will take about month to receive it.
You can send your ITN application and inform CRA in your and your husband tax return that you applied for ITN so they can match it. otherwise you can write 000000000 at social insurance number.
Anyone can update their info at CRA online website through my account. So you can add your spouse online at anytime .

I can't receive anything, so we will try with the zeros, but just after Wednesday, hubby is extremly busy at work:(
Thanks again everyone, it's so good that you keep me (and everyone) informed about the important things:)

Hello.
Most here received similar letters that their file was transferred. They are sending / or have sent most (if not all) of the files to Mississauga for Processing from Vegreville, supposedly to help speed things up.

The processing time is still about average with what they show on their website. Have they contacted you for AIP ( stage 1 approval) yet? With your client ID number in hand you can call and check on the status of your application too.

If you have not referenced it already, here is the link to the 2013 spreadsheet that may shed some light at how things are progressing for others with similar timelines. ( You can have your info added as well by sending a PM to guri3577.)
