Me too. I sent them a letter 2-3 weeks ago about my change of address and employer change... It sucks if that's going to cause any delay.

That sounds like DM baby! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Haha, thank you, AckTivity! :) SO happy right now! He scared me and said our file had been transferred and then forwarded me the email and I realized that it was DM. This is amazing! We were afraid that it would take longer, which is great that it didn't since our medicals were due to expire on the 8th of March. Phew!

Thank you to everyone else for the congratulations! We wouldn't have been able to get here without having a nervous breakdown if it weren't for everyone here who has been so kind and helpful. I really don't know what we would have done without this place.

Now just waiting for a landing appointment! Hubby and I are gone on vacation out of province in a week, so we're hoping that we don't get a landing interview too soon!

For change of address you have to change it trough Ecas and trough the phone . I heard that NEVER trough the Mail . ( change of address matters more than change of employer ,in my point of view)

Hey sage81 !!! I saw that you applied September 16 !!! I also applied that day ! lest's see what day we will have good news! good luck !

All we can do is hope for the best

Hi everyone. We got AIP today! My wife also got approval for her work permit which we sent off later. Although we sent in the medicals and police check and paid all the fees we did not get DM. Hopefully soon. The email came from Vegreville.

I don't post on here but I do read lots of your comments. Thanks for the support and good information.

Guri can you update the spreadsheet. Thanks for all your hard work.

just curiosity,... so the files always transfer CPC-V OFFICE TO CPC-M OFFICE

Congrats! Don't worry. :) My husband and I received AIP and OWP without receiving DM right away even though we sent a complete package. We just received DM today after 28 days. Not sure why some people get everything right away and others don't. Don't worry, everything will be okay.

Quick question for you guys as well, does anyone know how far in advance landing appointments are made? I'm just hoping that it doesn't run into our vacation time! :P

I received my hard copy of my work permit today! SO EXCITING! I already applied for a job, haven't heard anything back yet but it doesn't stop me from being super happy!

Does anyone know how I get my SIN now? I assumed it would be on the permit but if it is, I can't find it.

Congratulations on getting your work permit.

You need to go into Service Ontario with the work permit and ID to get your SIN. They will give you the number and the actual card will come in the mail soon after.

Good luck

Congrats on finally becoming a PR! You must be so happy! ;D And thanks for the tips for landing in Ottawa, as that's where I'll be landing when the time comes. Gotta love downtown Ottawa parking, eh?

Just a quick question, I've noticed a lot of people have mentioned needing photos when they go for their landing interview...are those passport photos? Our lawyer had actually gotten us to send some with our application, so I'm wondering if we'll have to get another set for the landing.

Hi Dazey,

Thank you! yes, we are so over the moon very happy. My apologies for late reply - I am busy working on my nursing application with CNO. Yes, crazy Ottawa parking lol. To answer your question, the landing interview photos are different from the passport pictures. Don't worry because your landing interview letter comes with another page/ sheet that details the photo specifications. Just follow the instructions on the letter to the T even if the photographer suggests something else. My photographer insisted on wanting to cut all the photos 'like she has been doing with the rest' she says, but I was firm in saying that I just wanted 2 photos cut and the rest of the photos uncut. Hope this helps. Just let me know if you have other concerns and I will be happy to reply.
