Someone needs to light a fire under that slowpoke's feet! You're right. No news IS good news. It has to happen soon. My fingers are still crossed for you. I keep checking the board hoping to see good news for you guys!

Thank you so much for your reply!
So then in the box when they ask for the purpose of my visit i should indicate "Other" and then in the box "other" should i write that i applied for PR under sponsor class in Canada and that while i wait for my permanent residence status that they would grant me visa extension?

You will see the online option. Simply upload the files they ask for, pay the $75.00 processing fee and you're good to go! I included an explanation letter, which is not required, but I figured it couldn't hurt. I got my extension via snail mail about 5 weeks later.

I included a letter of explanation, although it isn't required.

If you have any specific questions, let me know. I'll do my best to answer them.

Yes, exactly. Then I wrote a letter further explaining my situation and uploaded it. Just so it was clear why I wanted the extension. It was a personal choice, and it may or may not have made a difference. I did receive the extension though!

Please Add me in the spreadsheet ..thanks :) :) :)

Questions- my friend sent in her inland app the same time as me (also from the US, spousal), and while mine went from 'received' to 'in process' in a couple of weeks, hers still hasn't. She sent her app May 2013 and online it still says received, not in process!

Is anyone from Inland 2013 not "in process" yet?!

I'm the US immigrating spouse. My wife's application as sponsor has been marked as processing, but mine is still showing as only received. It was received on March 20, 2013.

Thanks for the input. Let's see this burst of activity continue for all our AIPs and DMs!

I wouldn't worry. Mine didn't say in process until a few days after I had received AIP. Guess some officers don't update it very often.
