Hi Everyone,

After landing interview, do you need your PR card to cross the us border by car.

Please adivse.

Thank you,
You'll need a US visa (unless you are a US citizen) and you PR card.

How do you find out what the wait time is for your local office?
You can call the call center and ask them what the average time for your local office is. I called last week to ask about Kitchener office and it's currently 4 weeks. However some people on this forum got their letter for landing appointment a week after getting DM (from Kitchener area).

Hey guys ?? my eCAS changed again, from 2012 to 2013.. The agent I spoke on Wednesday said he was going to send a message to CIC about my case and about why my status said 2012 instead of 2013!

It changed today and hopefully that means that they started to work on my file!!! HOPEFULLY!

YAY! Every little bit of progress, hey?

Oh my goodness, I received my OWP in the mail today. I haven't worked for 2 years!!! Im so excited YAY YAY YAY!!!! ;D

I think we have a lot of common situations.

I am originally from Toronto and we filed the application from there. But I recently got a new job and moved to Victoria. I haven't updated my address with CIC because I didn't want to do anything that would delay our process. So, if we get our landing interview, we plan to fly back to Toronto...

Hi Johnny,

I don't think this is a good idea! You "must notify CIC" of any personal changes such as address moves according to my AIP letter, which I assume it mentions the same in yours. I wouldn't want to risk anything by not updating them on your current status.

Best of luck,

Boys and girls, today I received my work OWP in the mail today (dates the same day I got the AIP). Now to find work and buy all the candy I want.

Congrats to everyone who received good news!! ;D

Just wondering, when Sponsor receives AOR email, there is an Application Number given.
So is that number the same for the whole PR application or applicant gets another Application Number when it progresses to Step 2 Stage?

Thanks

Yes , it starts with F . Also you can refer to your application by your client ID ..

So is the application number only for the sponsor's application or applies to both the sponsor + applicant's application?
Since sponsor and applicant each have an individual UCI, wouldnt it be confusing if I(applicant) want to refer to my application but quotes sponsor's UCI?
Or it doesnt matter?
Sorry Im just stressing out lol..
Thanks

Hi hockeyfan,

I was planning to discuss the address change when I go in for the interview since I haven't received the AIP yet.
I actually did try calling them several times but I was never able to get through cuz the waiting time is just too long.

Thanks for the advice. I will see if I can try to call them again.

It is for the overall family sponsorship application . If the sponsor wants to call or send a message to CIC , he/she should quote the application no..
I did the same thing when I sent document so CIC, I quoted the application no that starts with an F. So it is referred to the overall family ( applicant and sponsorship)
