Sometimes it will appear very soon, in my case I did the medical in Nov.18,2013 and It appeared 1 week later on my e-cas.

I think you will see the ecas only once they have started processing your file. Right now it seems they still process applications received in March ,
this means a few more month of patience before they work on your July or \ my august applications.
keep smiling, it will all be good in time
Thanks guys for the speedy response!
So, does it show up in ecas that you received AIP? I'm curious if I should be calling CIC or not. We got our med request a little over two weeks ago, but no AIP and no change in ecas.soniabrowne1 said:Just got AIP+OWP+ MED REQ. Am excited omg omg its surreal. pls update info on spreadsheet

Thank you so much Mrs_Canuck. I called CIC this morning and they said they are still processing my application, I check my address, phone numbers and email accounts (also my husband's) and everything is right. She also said that they received the Right of Permanent Residence Fee which is nice.Mrs_Canuck said:Happy Monday, everyone! Hopefully CIC continues to work hard and get through the files! Cirene, you will see something soon! I know it!
Congratulations, I can't wait to feel the same way hehe! I'm very happy for youJust got AIP+OWP+ MED REQ. Am excited omg omg its surreal. pls update info on spreadsheet
The processing times change, so all you can do is keep checking and cross your fingers. Based on the current times, it's taking ~10 months. It's very possible that he would not have it by August 29th.Racheltaylor said:Hi All,
I sent out my husband's inland sponsorship application at the beginning of this month which was received by CIC-vegreville on January 13, 2014. How long does it take to know our has been approved in principle? My husband's work permit will be expired on August 29. Do you think we have time to apply the open work permit?
Thanks
What type of work permit is your husband currently on? After August he may have implied status which means he can keep working until they make a decision on your file. Did you send an OWP application with your sponsorship application?Racheltaylor said:Hi All,

OMG another 10 months? I hope the lady was incorrect about whatever information she gave you. It should be the date received not "opening of the application". Sucks big time. I am pretty sure you will hear from them soon. I am sure that you are misled by that lady.seangis said:I put in my sponsorship package along with OWP in April 2013. I was getting quite excited as it looks like two weeks before they hit it BUT I called today and the waiting period of 10 months applies from when they open it. She explained that the ones they are working on now (march 2013) will be a max of 10 months before stage 1 is complete. I am so frustrated, I have been watching it, thinking the updated dates are when it is finalised, thinking I would have OWP soon.....was she correct? Do the last 10 months account for nothing as far as waiting time goes....do I still have to wait another 10 months and then 8 more for stage 2??? My wife is Canadian, married for 6 years, 3 kids that are Canadian....so frustrating
