Hey guys, congrats to everyone with all the good news it will soon be over for everyone with great news. I landed today at Calgary, It was pretty easy and straight forward just asked 3 questions which they already know answer to for verification and that's it.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know that we had our landing interview this morning in Montreal. Very few people were waiting. We met the lady after a 15 minutes waiting. Then the interview was very quick, 15 minutes max. The lady was very nice. She asked the 4 questions, took back the old visas, etc. Anyway we are very happy now. We can now plan our lifes, travel, etc.

Hello friends !! We received last night the e-mail of the sponsor but not de AIP of my wife.....so I do not have to explain to you all that the night we spent was rather s%$#. But this morning at 9h21 we received the saint graal ... AIP , OWP and the DM at the same time. It is an awesome feeling, all the weight on our shoulder just drop and now I am so tired lol. We want to say congrats to al the other people that received their AIP/OWP/DM and to the others keep the faith IT WILL COME !!

Sorry, but I still don't understand. Where exactly did you mention that you began cohabitation until 01/09/2012?

Is there a chance that you wrote the wrong date somewhere in your application package? If so, that could be the problem. All of your dates have to match exactly between the forms and anything else that you submit (letters, lease, etc.).

However, if you are certain that you used that same date of 01/09/2012 EVERYWHERE...I have no clue what the problem could be.

Ok so I looked over for the 100th time n I did mix up my dates ugh how do I clarify this
Do I write a letter of explanation saying I confused my dates?
I did call them n they said to send in everything that proves we lived together since 2011 like lease rental receipts, bank statements, letters sent to address, etc.
Can I also notarized this letter?
Do u guys think they can say I mid-represented myself?

Medical, Police Check and full fees were sent with the app. OWP App was sent around October time, and receipt confirmed.

I don't think that the dates posted on the CIC update page are that accurate

We are waiting for some feedback from the CIC, unfortunately the call centre only seem to be able to e-mail Vegreville to get updates.

Just as an update, we just received our AIP, with a fingerprint request.

Here's hoping they move onto the later apps that ours looked like it slowed down

How can you start living `as a common-law partner' before you are deemed eligible to live...as a common-law partner?!?!

Yeah after you told me to check I went back and looked at the forms and app guide on CIC's website. You were right, CIC guideline states to put the date you attained this status not the date you began living together. That is almost word for word what the application guide states. However, on other forms, particularly the spouse questionnaire (IMM 5285) ask for the date you moved in together. Maybe the person with the problem made a mistake on one of those parts?

Yeah now I'm starting to freak out a bit. Cause I moved in with my partner in 1/3/2012 so then technically we didn't become common law untill 1/3/2013 which is what i put down saying that date 1/3/13 is when we entered into our common law relationship & i sent my app in July 2013.

Well, hopefully I'm wrong guys ,,, but the way I see it , is : at the beginning you are just dating , then you become boyfriend and girlfriend , and when you start living together (without marrying) you enter in a common law relation(1/3/2012). Then on 1/4/2013 at 12:00 am , you have the legal right to apply for PR in the fam class ( spouse OR common law partner) .
