Thank you guys! I'm I'm happy to just be allowed to work, so if I don't get DM at the same time it's alright, I suppose. Would still be nice though :)

I still check here if there's gonna be any good news for the week... I can't find out if immigration officers are still processing applications til Friday? Or they are on holidays already...sigh!

I'm quite curious about how long it's gonna take for us who didn't include a medical exam with/or before we sent off the application..

It took 10 months in my case. I've sent my application in January but didn't send medical report.
When my husband was approved as my sponsor CIC ask me to do the exams.

So 10 months after they requested it?

Yep. I was not allowed to do the exams before to sent app. because the doctors asked me UCI number but I didn't have yet.
But after sent medical report, it appear after 3 days in my status online.

Okay so that's not too bad then. I guess I'll just have to go do it ASAP after the new year when everything reopens. I already have an UCI from a past work permit. Thank you :)

I did an upfront too but the medical office offers e-medical. They only gave me a piece of paper with my IME# on it for me to send it myself to CIC. Hopefully it works, I also included my UCI from my past study permit and current PGWP and my husband's UCI# and our application number :)

It is confirmed that CIC is still working for In-land Sponsorship applications. They are working up to Feb 5, now. Because I know someone received notice from CIC just today. Best Wish for All Feb Applicants.

Only a few days till the Holidays. I think I might officially be more stressed out for all the things that still need to be done than I am for all of this CIC stuff! Still have to decorate the tree with hubby and do all my Christmas baking! I'm trying not to think about all the other stressful CIC stuff right now and just enjoy the holidays with my husband. :)

Hello guys! I need some advice.. I would really love to fly home, where I'm from is not a visa exempt country but CIC approved my extension to stay on a visitor permit. We submitted our application in March this year together with my app of an OWP. I do understand that it is not advisable and it's a big risk to take if I leave Canada but my heart and soul is dying to see and be with my family especially my daughters.

My plan is to apply for a Canadian visitor visa (visa is what I need to re-enter Canada)as I have a visitor permit. My husband can only take off from work for 3 weeks but I'd like to visit longer than that. We thought if I fly home with our son a week or two earlier than him and fly back to Canada together, the visa officer may take that against me to re-enter since we need to be living with our sponsor I guess 24/7. What do you guys think? I've been in this group since March and not one story have I read of someone leaving Canada and was not allowed to re-enter. I just thought with proper immigration documents (visitor permit and visa) and a proof that we have submitted our app and just waiting.. There shouldn't be a problem with it.
