Good: I got engaged last night! My boyfriend proposed to me last night, took me for dinner, and then stayed at Hotel Mac in Edmonton =) =) =).

Bad: Still no god damn mother effin AIP. =( =( =(

I don't need to send anything to CIC-Veg saying we got engaged do I?

I am just wondering what if someone has to go on official visit (through work) abroad while being sponsored inland. How would the immigration deal with that?

Hi Applied4PR;

If you have proof that you traveled on official visit through work than I think it's the same procedure I mean you shouldn't be denied entry but again it depends on the Officer too what mood he/she is in. We've never actually made a business trip but I do know that the more proof you have the better for you. We never told the officers that I have sponsored my husband or if his app is in process they see it on their system so don't need to tell them that.

Does anyone else's OWP have a condition which says it is not valid for employment in businesses related to the sex trade? I don't understand why they would restrict me from stripping for a few extra dollars...

Hahaha. I know My husband and I said the same thing.. he could've earned extra bucks for stipping... but I guess he's also out of luck.

I just checked the website and it says second stage went back to 8 months updated Nov 27th.

Is it correct..????

You've made my day thanks for letting us know that the CIC has changed the time back to 8 months... thats a little relief for us too but now we are waiting for my husbands FBI Cert so the CIC can send us his PR. hoping the FBI would tell us some good news on Monday. fingers crossed.

We all had our days on waiting for AIP. keep your hopes high it'll be just around the corner you never know

WOW, it makes me sad to see such a slow down on the 2013 apps! Is it just me, or are the 2013-ers always getting screwed over? :'(

But try to keep positivity alive - 4 days ago I was ready to have a total breakdown. You guys will be so relieved soon once you get that glorious AIP/OWP email.

They do seem to work in batches. So they are back working on some other batch but rest assured they will get back to inland 2013 applications.

Hello everyone! I do need your help... My wife is a student and her student visa will be expired on February 2014. I am canadian living in Quebec. We have our house here and I work. After finishing her English course of 10 months, we want to extend her visa to tourist visa (we already applied for PR inland for her just 2 months ago).

Question:

Would it be better to apply for tourist or studying visa for her extend visa? Can she have a good chance to get it as I am her sponsor?

Either one should work. Further, if she adds the student visa to the pr file she will have implied status until they make a decision.
