Hi there, can you tell me how this would be helpful for your BC MSP? I am having the same issue dying for the MSP coverage for my wife. My AOR is Aug.9, 2013 and no AIP so far. thanks

I put "Transferred from V to M" for everyone who hasn't received AIP before March, not everyone from the list confirmed that the app was transferred. I don't think you should worry, but if you want, you can call them and ask for a copy of a transfer letter. I called the call centre 2 weeks ago, I tried to ask a copy (it would have been helpful for my case with BC MSP), I was told that I can't have one, because my file wasn't open in Vegreville, but otherwise they could have sent me a copy.

They would accept anything, but really, anything, that says that your application is in process. The transfer letter states that your application "has been sent for further processing", and it's enough for them to give coverage. If your eCAS shows that your file is "in process", that's also good, if you don't have neither of those, than you will have a hard time to get the coverage.

Has anyone timeline for the 2nd stage passed the 8 months? I just reached 8 months and a week. The call centre agent told me they will contact the officer who have my file last week but nothing since then. They said that have everything and the only thing left is for the officer to look at my file and make a decision.

That what he told me. And he even told me that it's been a while now and they're stuck in july. Hell ya everyone knows that. Hahaa

From the news we got they are working on Citizenship backlog, that has nothing to do with us, but they had to select staff to take care of this backlog and apparently they took from inland sponsorship, in my opinion a very bad decision, since we are one of the few branches of PR that doesn't have the right to work/healthcard and other documents. They also, in my theory, are short on staff, they probably let people go after the strike because of the salary raise. Still, direct staff to other issues for 6 months, and create another backlog is insane.

ok sohpieee, did you use this transfer letter to get your MSP ? I've conrtacted them several but they insisted to see the AIP...

OHIP office would have issued at least temporary coverage for my spouse with this March transfer letter, IF it had a date on it.

They were not impressed that a Canadian govt office would do such a correspondence but lacking such a BASIC detail like that.

I don't have the transfer letter, because my file wasn't open in Vegreville, so according to CIC it wasn't transferred the same as the others. But MSP BC keep asking me for this, so they can give me coverage. Maybe they always ask for what you don't have:)

@vortex: yeah, that's another good one from CIC

"Date Modified: 2014-08-26". i think they just changed this today on their site? i've been looking all week and it was saying last update was Aug. 22...

The small date at the bottom doesn't matter. They only update when the top date is changed.

Exactly!
Transfer letter DID NOT have any date on it.

As I said, if it had a date, then OHIP would consider it as a valid document, that our application being in-process and a temp OHIP# could have been issued.

The transfer letter was key to my getting BC MSP coverage. It did take a lot of phone calls and insistence on my part. They also were not thrilled that the transfer letter was not dated but eventually they gave in.
