It is great to see that at least someone is working on our files!

I wonder if those who have been requested for more information, especially proof of relationship, are they married or common law ?

I'm a 28 august applicant and on 11 december I've received request for fingerprints, proof of ongoing relationship and cohabitation. On my GCMS note that I requested right after that it is written that "the relationship does NOT appear to be genuine". We've married 2 month before sending the application, we are both from the same country but we didn't had a long relationship before getting married.

For someone living in GTA, will Etobicoke be the landing office?

Depending on where in GTA, it is either Etobicoke or Scarborough.

hi everyone! Had our application submitted last nov.5, 2013 then rec. on the 7th of nov. 2013. Originally, our visa office was Vegreville then got transferred to missisauga. Until now, we haven't heard anything yet from CIC. i just submit OWP last jan. 12, 2015 under the new pilot since we didn't include it on our sponsorship application. I'm just wondering if it really takes that long.

I'm wondering if CIC agents take 2 weeks or so of applications to their desk and work from that pile. Looking at the spreadsheet, it seems like most applicants from middle to end of September are being asked for more proof of relationship or cohabitation. Maybe that one agent is more strict than some others? I'm curious to know if the initials at the bottom of the letters are the same for those applicants.

Anyway, I hope you get AIP/DM together after they get your proof!!!

We were asked to provide marriage certificate and proof of relationship in early Nov 2014 and we sent them on Nov 21st by Xpresspost.
After the 7 weeks (from the date they received our document), we received AIP.
We PROBABLY would've gotten DM if we sent the medicals with the original application, but since we didn't, we will have to wait possibly another 6 months.

Is it possible if I can do the medical now and send the results to CIC to save some time in my application?

Hi JohnnyP , but did you do your medicals already ? Or are you waiting until cic request them ? Because if you got AIP already , then I think you are very close to get DM these days . I have great memories from our recent visit to victoria,bc , your town is beautiful ! Good luck to you

I'd recommend to do upfront medicals , since you are dec 2013 applicant I would wait until mid February to do them ( depending on cic's pace ,of course ) , but definitely Upfront medicals will get you a DM at a shorter time.

Yes correct , and No need of any letter , just tell them ( cic doctor in your area ) that you want to do upfront medicals ( I think all of them transfer the results electronically , but ask before you choose the clinic , just to make sure ) you don't even need to give them your UCI . Only your full name , passport #, DOB . It only takes 10 to 15 days for cic to receive them .

We received Applicant for permanent residence on August 21, 2013.

We started processing Applicant application on January 12, 2015. (DM Received )

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on Applicant . The office will contact Applicant concerning this decision.

How long does it take for landing interview? Thank you

Hey Tilikun, my wife will go have medicals soon. I hope you are right and we will get the DM soon. We've been so unlucky so far, I don't really have high hopes.
