Hey guys! I have a quick question.

On the document where you talk about your wedding there was a question asking 'did the sponsors parents attend the wedding?' or something like that. Well, when I first went through and filled it out I checked yes, even though my father was unable to attend. Well, I was advised later to check no and attach a note saying only my mother attended.

Unfortunately, the other day while I was going through the copies I made I realized I sent out the old version with the yes checked instead of the note.

I'm hoping it won't be a problem but if they ask us about it and I say my dad wasn't there will they accuse us of lying? It was a mistake and the first person I asked for help said to check yes then later was told to check no. AHHH. I'm so worried that it'll be a problem, does that even seem like one?

Dear Forum friends,

I have applied NOC 0111. But my experience match only with previous company. What is the procedure to chk back ground verification by CIC? Because my ex employer never provide the original info about me because at the time of job left there were lot of argument with him and crash the relation forever.

So is there any chance for me to get positive by CIC?

yeah that is what I'm thinking right now, they are not just in forum but they are getting it, hope you will get yours soon as well

Now, im wondering... Do you think cic stopped sending aip via email and just sends via snail mail? Like Frenchwapiti's? I couldnt help but be paranoid with all these inconsistencies and guessing games we have with cic. I really wish the date is moving.

If you look at the 2012 thread people on there are getting DM now so I think they are just really slow. I think(but don't know) they are still sending out emails as logic would state they would have to inform the applicants of such a change. don't be paranoid.

Lol...Logic and CIC don't really go hand in hand. :

But that is strange, if you provided both your email addresses, they are always supposed to contact by email.

The 2012 DMs are from Vegreville. Our DMs should be from Mississauga, so the speed of which either come out wouldn't really be relative.

It's not just you, but a lot of others. There was no DM since July 21th from Mississauga. That's almost 4 months.

So to recap our file has been in for over 20 months without response. It's been transferred twice (we moved out of province) and we're still in the first step. We finally just gave up waiting and got married last month. Of course we sent in our marriage certificate, but do you think it'd be worth sending in more evidence? Photos, invites, programs, etc? I believe the action date on our file is December 8th so I keep hoping we'll hear something soon but at 20 months we just don't have any expectations anymore.
