What? So no more files will be process this year? Are we gonna hear Aips again in january 2015? I hope this is not true !!! This is appalling!!!! Can someone clarify this pls

I don’t know for sure, but I think they are FOCUSING on AIPs now, to bring the 14 months down, because that makes them look really bad.

The bring forward date of January 2015 seen in the GCMS notes is just for that particular file. Just as another member had a December 2014 bring forward date.

My understanding is that they are processing the AIPs right now. So once they give the AIP then they put the file to the side to await the review for DM on the date mentioned, either January or December or whatever, depending on when the application was rec’d.

That is my guess….

Just got SIN card this morning.. In fact, Service Canada no longer issues card, just a piece of paper... Life is back to normal officially!

Only the sponsor. (Citizen/PR are only people able to make the request)

Yes but went all the way up the chain of command and they only allowed it with the AIP letter however different people got different responses. So who knows?

I hope they will lesser the time processing of the stage 2 since stage 1 has eaten a lot if time for the processing. Before it was only 14 months 6+8 the first stage is already equivalent of stage 1 and 2... I hope they can make stage 2 4 months or as soon as they received the medicals they should already work for it...I know the burden of waiting for the AIP and it's really stressful and frustrating. I hope CIC knows the hardships we've been going through. Even if I received my AIP and OWP the stress is still there. My OWP will expre NOv 1 2015. I just renewed my passport. It's gonna be painful if I'm gonna pay again for OWP application , I'm just about standing up from my Bankcruptcy!,, I have no money plus it's hard to find job here in Montreal because of French and I don't speak french.. I'm so sad now.

Both of them can, request under the Privacy Act, that one is free.

Hi Everyone.

Just received my GCMS notes and we are still waiting for DM. It says on the notes, final decision pending until Jan 2015 when inland processing commences. . So i guess here's the reason to waiting forever for apps to be processed. On the bright side, my guess is that everyone should start getting AIP+DM around January, just like last year.

I don't know what does it means, but my GCMS has random due dates, so maybe it doesn't mean anything.

The other thing is that in January-February the processing time dropped after they decided they will move to Mississauga. I believe that Vegreville had to processed the applications received before June 25th, and they wanted to do it as fast as possible. I wish they speed up again, but last year they had a different reason.

I agree, it does take quite a bit efforts to convince MSP office. Not every agent knows it clearly. You can google MSP in this forum as I know there are a few threads talking about this and some people put great details on how to get one without AIP

nothing yet, I hope for next week too. I try not to think so much about it, but I could not sleep last night trying to go through my whole application file in my head. Very stupid, because it will come when it comes , right?
