O I see because I called CIC they told me that they sent it out my OWP last thursday October 30, but until now I havent received it,,So frustrated already..

we submitted an application under the family sponsorship category Feb 2014. based on the current processing time,it will take anther year and half before i get my PR.
I am thinking about applying under the skilled worker category too, as the processing time is around 6 months now based on what i see. just want to confirm that i can apply under two categories at them same time? i did not find anything on the cic website.

please help if you have information about this. thank you

I have consulted an immigration lawyer on this issue, he told me you can apply for both categories at the same time.

No. The processing time starts when they receive your file. My file was received August 14th. AOR was Sept.26th.

My processing date is August 14th. Which is why the call center already sent an inquiry about my case to CPC-M. Since the site says they are processing Aug.17th, and I am an August 14th applicant.

CALL them or ask your husband to call!

I called on Friday the 31st, and they opened a inquiry to CPC-M. Was told to call back in 3 weeks - 1 month if I still haven't heard anything.

I called yesterday, and the lady was totally unhelpful, and said an inquiry was already started, and that she can tell me nothing more since she is in the call center and doesn't physically have my file. (duh!)

But I was still hoping when I got the GCMS notes I would see progress. I can't explain what a let down. I am here crying at work, I feel like an idiot.

My heart jumped in my throat too when I got the GCMS notes, on first glance I thought it was going to be my AIP. :'( :'( :'(

this whole process is so frustrating. i cant believe it takes almost two years to get PR. i was so frustrated yesterday that i coudlnt even sleep at night. just thinking that i have to wait another year (at least) ..... I hope they speed up the process and everyone gets AIP and DM soon.
