I noticed this tendency too. This actually made me suspect that they have lost part of the documents we attached along with the applications....as if I don't remember wrong, some applicants were asked to resubmit marriage certificate, proof of living together etc.....

I have consulted an immigration lawyer on this issue, he told me you can apply for both categories at the same time.

I think they wanted to say 12 August but input it wrongly....you know 12 and 17 looks alike :(

I am thinking since cic website is disclosing WRONG and MISLEADING information, i.e. 13 months instead of 14.5months, where can we complain about it? Is there any independent department which handle complaints about the government? It is indeed a serious fault, no matter it is due to careless...
