I got a phone call from CIC about my landing date, but I imagine it was because of our situation here. There's only one CIC office in Québec (Montréal). They sometimes send out "traveling" CIC offices, and they called to make sure I was available on the date the traveling office would be in our area. I got a follow-up letter a week or so later.

To Screech339 , Leon , PMM , Tomorisu , Rusty , Jiggyjealous , Victorwife , Computergeek and all members of 2012 Inland Applicants ,also all other seniors of this forum ....Thank you so much .
Honestly , I was not excited for the landing today . I and my wife were stress because of this immigration processing.

I think that I can relax after I get my PR Card and Health Card.

The funny thing was when I and my wife got AIP . I was blank and wondered was this AIP or CPC-V needed more supporting documents . I had read million times in this forum about people got AIP and DM. Then when it was my turn , I just like a newbie who never know about immigration processing.

Psalm told me that was AIP and with other members congratulated me . I just like ," Really ?" I got AIP ?? ;D :-[ :p

To other members who are still waiting , I know how it feels like , I know how stress it is .....Your turn will come soon......
I will let you know when I get my PR Card .
Have a nice weekend ,guys

Congrats sunsun! I found the landing a little anti-climactic after the long wait and all of the stress. It was actually kind of weird for it to be over.

Good luck getting registered for the health card, and I hope your PR card comes on time with no further stress. :)

Needing a little help before I land on the 12th. Does anyone know what the $490 RPR fee is and how I know if I am subject to it and how to know if I have paid it already? Is this completely different from the $1040 for sponsorship and PR?

If you have already paid $1040 you don't need to pay for anything else. $550 is for sponsoring a person and $490 is RPRF Right of permanent residence fee(which can be paid at a later stage). Just take your receipt with you.

Quick question regarding landing interview in Calgary: does anyone know roughly how long it takes to complete the process? I can't find much information searching these forums or Google. The interview itself appears to go quick, but is there a SIN application process afterwards? Any other info would be helpful.

I would like to know too. I've heard differing reports. Some people have said that you can get it right there and other people have said you have to do it at another time.

Hi! I landed in Calgary, and the whole process took us 20 min max. They advise you to wait for your PR card first, and then apply for a new SIN number. So I waited. And when I went to Service Canada to get my new SIN number, the gentleman said that I did not have to wait for my PR card to arrive, and could have just applied for a new SIN number using the confirmation of permanent residency.

Thanks, alinka. So they don't deal with the SIN there at the office, we have to visit Service Canada ourselves. Good to know!

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and thought I would post my timeline to see if anyone has any advice.

Application received (vegreville) June 14th, 2012
Stage 1 approval December 6th, 2012
Stage 2 in process December 6th, 2012
Medical results received with application

We haven't heard anything since December 6th 2012. When we call the call center they say we need to just keep waiting. We have been in stage 2 for one year two months and are beginning to think they have lost our application. Is anyone else in the same boat? Does anyone have advice on what we can do?

WOW! That certainly seems like they may have lost your file!

You might consider ordering your GCMS notes, to see if they tell you what might be causing the excessive delay:
