Mind you I am guessing here with the flash support. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work on your ipad. It says online that the ecas website are supported by safari, firefox and IE.

I tried logging in a couple times yesterday and it quickly shows the information before it disappears and all I can see from then on is the log out button.

@ Senior member...

As of August 3rd 2013, it will be expired and our Application has not even begun processing. He has been in Canada on a Visitors Visa and Implied status since September 6, 2012.

Will he be required to obtain a new Criminal Check from Peru while in Canada?
If so, What are the steps to have this procedure done?

Or since he's been here before his expiration would he just need to supply a criminal check from Canada to show for the time since his last one?

In my experience, if you have not been outside Canada, they won't require a new PCC. Further, they do the RCMP check directly, so unless there is a potential identity issue (requiring fingerprints to verify the lack of record) you won't need to do anything to obtain clearance from Canada.

@Tomorisu
I chose inland thinking I will get my OWP and will be able to work earlier than if I applied outland... But given the current delay in issuing AIPs I may have been wrong all together!!

@Miminnie
Me, too. I chose inland because of OWP. But, many Japanese who applied outland on and after October have not received their DMs yet. They are waiting for DMs like us. Manila office is also slow. So, we don't know whether we did a good decision. Don't lose your hope! :)

Not only Manila is slow, they are one of the 15 visa offices now affected by the strike.

I called CIC awhile ago and when the agent asked me when my application was submitted she didn't even bother to check my file. She said call back a month's time

Apparently too difficult. They probably don't even think about how difficult it is to live off one income.. Unless its a good salary. Which ours definitely isn't.. Not impressed!!

Even more difficult to have a place to live on only one salary. Much less have a family.

The system of medical exam was a bit changed. I heard that the form is prepared at the panel physician, now. How about telling him to call to the panel physician and ask about it?

There is a list of designation approved doctors on the website based on where the applicant lives. Once you find the doctor, make an appointment letting doctor know that this is for immigration medical check. You can bring the medcial forms if you like but they have their own forms. So make sure that you get receipt of medical examination including receipts for all tests. Some places may make you pay all in cash, other places allow you to pay by credit/debit. Also make sure you have 4 PR photos ready too. The office will attach the photos to the forms. Once examination is completed, the office will forward the medical results to CIC. You will only havr receipts to prove you had your medical done. Don't lose it. When CIC ask you to do medical, fax over receipts to CIC to show that you had medical done.

My girlfriend applied to sponsor me. We sent application in January of 2012. In November 2012 we got AIP. After 8 months I called the call centre and the agent told me that it was time for vegreville to make a decision. He sent them an email. On the 2nd of July 2013 I received s letter saying my file was transferred to vancouver but I live in Toronto. They said they are doing further assessment. Is that common.are they now doing the background, security and medical checks now

Ok let's hope that is the case. Thank you. What about re-doing medical? would that be beneficial at this point, or should we wait until they as

Personally I think you can re-do the medical test before they ask. This way when they do ask for medical, you can fax them the receipts of medical test without any further delay. If you wait until they ask, you may end up waiting up to a month or more for appointment, losing valuable processing time. When I made an appointment for my wife, it was a 2 month appointment wait. By re-doing medical, at least your medical result is good for another year at least despite paying another 200-400. It is a gamble as they may accept your first medical result as they can extend validity of result for another 6 months, as I was told by computergeek.

I don't know why your file would get transferred Vancouver if you live in Toronto. Did you at one point live in Vancouver prior to living in Toronto? Are you using a representative that is located in Vancouver?

Usually if they are transferred to local office for futher processing, it is usually done during 1st stage as I have seen on postings here, whereby they are granted AIP at local office after determining validity of relationship. Other than that I don't know your file would get transferred to local vancouver office after AIP has been issued.

I called the agent today and he said it went to the backlog office. They said that it is workload redistribution
