My God never fails me. I praise Him for favour. I got an email yesterday, DM for me and I am so happy. I thank especially Computergeek for his support and all of you on the forum. I need the link to pay the $$490 while waiting for my local office to contact me. I didn't expect it, but I trusted my God would do it at His time. With non- accompanying dependents out of Canada and my visa office timeline is 23 months. My kids did their medicals and didn't wait for the office to contact them and I sent the results to Vegreville in November, but they kept saying they had not received it. My spouse contacted his MP two days ago, as that was what was holding my application and the MP calling in front of my spouse. It was sitting on somebody's desk untouched for 8ths and right away I get my DM. I give God the glory. You all should have faith and be patient all will be fine. God bless.

I have a question.

My medicals are due to expire on 25 August. How do I know if they are extended or I need to redo them? Email?

If they are extended that would be a good thing? Not extended will mean some more waiting???

Thanks

Good for you :), I hope you are contacted by your local CIC as quickly as I was.

My medical was due to expire in March 2013. And what I have heard we will be informed if we need to do it again. So we will not be informed if they extended it....so I was told to just wait and see if they let me know if I need to do it again. Yes this is a waiting game for sure :D

If as a sponsor you become pregnant while waiting for hubbies PR do you need to let CIC know?

My medical expires the 17 of August; that's less than a month and I don't have AIP much less DM. I'm stressedto say that I night have to spend another 200 bucks

I think both my medical and my background check have expired by now. Hoping they don't ask to have them redone. That would delay everything by weeks if not longer. Don't think it would be right for CIC to request us to spend more money to redo things just because they are taking too long to get to them.

The background check shouldn't be an issue. It has to be received by CIC within three months of the FBI (or whatever agency, depending on country) issuing it, but as long as you stay in Canada for the duration of your application, that's the only police certificate you'll need.

Medicals are another story, though. The long wait times are going to make some panel physicians some money, as many will have to redo medicals.

I heard that Tim Horton is still looking for Temporary Foreign Workers in Third World Countries .

I did my medical in May/june 2012, and last time I called cic, they said its going to expire in 2014. so it's good about 1 year and a half?

Someone is smiling right now because he doesn't need to redo in August.....save $ 200 !! :D

Lucky you :D

I couldn't resist calling after I read what you wrote. :) I did my medical in March 2012.....but they couldn't see anything in my file yet...if it was expired or extended....so I guess I will just have to wait to know

I'd originally been told it was only good for 6 months. I sure hope it's a year and a half.
