@GAM
CIC.gc.ca and then click on processing time and check the application class applicable to you. In this case I presume you'll check on family sponsorships. You'll see the processing times for outland and ilnad Canada

There was someone who has experience in a big retail company in Australia and he applied for a survival job in a very small traditional shop and the owner of the shop asked him , " Do you have a Canadian experience ?" He said ," No ".....The owner :" Well, we need someone who has a Canadian experience !"...

Many Temporary Foreign Workers(Low Skilled Workers) don't have Canadian experiences and why the companies still hire them ? It's double standard in Canada.
I heard gossip that Tim Horton is also looking for TFW ....IF it is true, I really really don't understand....
Why not give us (spouses who apply inland) chances to work ? Why should we wait at home, do nothing and can't support financial to our husbands/wives and contribute to Canada by paying taxes ?

@sunsun
I completely agree with you. It doesn't make sense to be hiring temporary workers from foreign countries when you have spouses here ready and needing to work to support their families. I have my Bachelor's degree (of course not in one of the fields of "needed" workers), but still, I am here and able to work. And NEEDING to work to help my husband out with finances.

I don't think the fact is needing cheaper laborers as much as it increases the profit margin if they hire workers willing to take less pay.

Oh,how I agree with you. Seem's like government turned the blind eye to the spouses. One of the main issues with sponsorship is the financial side of things and solution is so simple- LET US WORK. It's much easier for two people to live together on two incomes,seems like with us who are stuck here waiting for papers to be done are seen as if we are asking for hand-out and I know for a fact most of us are sick of sitting at home and not working...and feeling sorry for our self's, struggling with the fact that we are somewhat of a burden to our partner and feeling less confident and secure simply cause we cannot earn money to support our selves.
I personally struggle with the fact that I am so dependent on my boyfriend, and I have trouble getting used to (even now after 2 years) the "housewife" style of life I had to embrace.

I have a question!

I've been looking at the inland application timelines and it says they update them every three months:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=071&t=3

Has it been three months yet, do you know?

Hi,Line.a

It's NOT for INSIDE Canada. It is for Visa Office of OUTSIDE Canada. Processing times of visa office are updated every 3 months.
Though our processing times are updated every week, they have not been changed for 13 weeks. 13 weeks = almost 3 months. :p

So, Tuesday will be 9 months for me, and still no AIP. Maybe we should start a contest to see who goes the longest before getting stage one approval? At least then I'll feel like I might be winning something, haha!

I REALLY hope that, when I finally get AIP, stage two and all the administrative BS (landing, PR card) after that doesn't take as long as anticipated. My beau-père booked a big family trip to Spain in late March. I tried to tell him not to book it, but he's all fired up and couldn't be talked out of it. I would REALLY like to be able to travel then. And to see my nephew again sometime.

That's just unbelievable.. Almost feeling a little disgusted how they can take 13 weeks doing that?! Or maybe they decided to just not update it lol.

I talked to my local immigration specialist under the MP for my area. I am expecting a call back from him soon hopefully with an update on what is going on and if there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

I, for one, sent my work permit application in with everything else when I mailed it in November. I am beginning to think it would have been faster sending it separate. Going on 8 months now since and the application was mailed and 9 months without working.

AIP,OWP,and DM just like win Lottery , it is not based on First In First Out ...
My friends from few countries asked me ," Now you are happy live in Canada , where do you work ?"
I said ." Yes , I am So happy because CIC really cares about me ,don't let me work , just stay at home, eat and sleep,get fatter and only my wife works . CIC treats me very special "
My friends : What ???

The funny thing is I am " NOT a part of Family " even I and my wife married legally in 2011 in Canada.Why ? The answer is My status in Canada!!
I asked my wife ,'' Did this Canadian woman know what she was writing about ?" Is English her first language ?
She was so Rude in writing !

My wife : " Welcome to Canada "

Me : " Huh ?" ???
