Hey my people , please can you guys tell me what time do you get the DM email is it by morning around 11am or like what time and also does the date matches the day they start processing your application, for example lets say they started 20 feb will the DM be like same 20th of another month or just any date. Thanks .

There is absolutely no way to know when you will receive DM. CIC is not nearly that organized, consistent, or predictable.

Well @ jiggyzealous, this is sad indeed; I'm not sure how to comment on that. What I will say is that I was born in Canada, and until I met my husband, immigration was not something I even considered. It wasn't something I cared about or that I felt effected me. It wasn't even a topic of discussion in any of my social settings. I think this is the mindset of most who are citizens or residents and thus it is hard to call for change when there isn't much awareness about the immigration process. This is a country that many people want to immigrate to and thus we can expect there will be long processing times.

My husband feels the same way. I'm the one being sponcered.
Before we started this process we both thought
it was going to be a walk in the park.
Even out lawyer assured us that it will be quick,
We don't have anything to worry about!!
We thought by now we would be close to the end of the process,
The fact is the process seem to have yet began.
Even if its 3 days away from 9 months since we submitted.
We are yet to receive Aip. When we submitted we would have made life plans based
On the time line on the website! Like STARTING A FAMILY!!!
I don't think CIC is intentionally holding us bk, I think they really don't care that much.
We as immigrants have little say in this country any how(unless we become citizens)
The majority of voice power comes in the casting of votes and the paying of taxes, neither of which those of us waiting on Aip can do.
I have lost hope. I don't even check ecas anymore cause
I'm sure nothing is there. I hv also given up calling my lawyer or cic cause neither ever
Hv any sort of news.

I am waiting for an appointment from Scarborough office too. I got my DM on June 19 and still haven't received anything from CIC Scarborough.

Can you please tell me when your landing letter from CIC Scarborough was dated?

Letter was dated July 16. Did you already pay your perm res fee? a few days after i got DM email, i received a letter requesting that i pay the fee and fax some photocopies of my passport. i then got the landing letter a little over a week later.

I'm depressed and confused all in one. They couldn't give a damn about us. Nine months this week! Nothing! Nothing! There is nothing this govt is doing will improve the lives of the waiting immigrants

Can you Imagine??? This is three months longer
Than anticipated. With not so much as a proper explanation .
Waiting is fine (not really but what can we do?)
when we don't know how long we'll have to wait
this is torture.
I wake up every morning hoping today
is going to be the day. But Noooo
CIC have a better plan for my day.
My husband feel that the checks no balances
are well placed cause of all the marriage
Frauds but for those of us who just want to
get on with our lives it's preventing or slowing that down.
Some ppl entire process takes only 10 months
But we been waiting close to 10months for the first stage??
ANGRY!!!!

I am landing in Vancouver too.. got my DM last April 9 but no landing dates or whatsoever. I am not heard anything from Vancouver yet.

If you havr any new info about landing, i would reaally appreciate if you can share it with me.

I just received a letter saying:
"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has veen completed..... And vancouver office will contact you.... Etc etc"


So is this it? All I am waiting for is an appointment at the vancouver office?? My husband was previously rejected for PR when he applied as a dependent due to his mom's medical issue. Do yiu guys think that will be an issue? Will they question us about it at the interview???

My application was recived on October 26th 2012. And I still have nothing.
All I know is that everything was recieved as I confirmed on the phone today that CIC said that the first stage approval (coming up to 9 months for me, even though the website says 6) date which hasnt changed from October 8th 2012 since April at least should be updated shortly.

I have no health care, no work permit, I cant visit my family back home, have had to rebook a vacation orignally for May at least 3 times now.

I think if nothing comes by the time it hits one year for the first stage I am making some sort of formal complaint.

So so frustrating!!

I am currently waiting for a landing letter from a local office after getting my DM, and I have a question.

Can CIC call centre agents tell when my landing date would be as soon as it has been scheduled by a local office, even before I receive a landing letter?

I've been calling call centre agents to ask whether my landing date has been set or not, but is there any point for calling them?

If anyone knows the answer, please let me know

We have the same timeline. I was planning to call CIC today but I couldn't bother to wait almost an hour to speak to an agent to get the same dumb response
