Hi Di_vas:

Thanks a lot for your reply. I am still fighting to get my husband accepted in the ESL program. When you go to the school and show the letter they are not familiar with it. They say that AIP is one of the documents they accept, but this letter does not say AIP anywhere, only that you are eligible to apply for PR and so on. So, they say, come back when you get the Approval In Principle!!!

I dont know hat to do!!! Any advice?? Does anyone know any school in Toronto where they are familiar with this document, any previous experience?

Thanks a million!!

Minerva
maybe try printing out your ecas screen. I had tthe same problem with applying for a health card and they accepted the print out of the ecas screen. I printed out both screens. One showing in process and the other screen that that says you are eligible for pr

Are there really no decisions made since last October, or are people just so happy to get it, they don't remember to log on and let us know?

Hey guys, we got AIP today ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
CIC emailed both of us with PDFs.
Funny thing is that the CIC website is not updated when I login.

good luck for everybody!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the reply Spuh_Dyna. I sent the application off last night (online) and let them know I was waiting for my sponsorship application to process + gave them the file number and my sponsor's UCI. Hopefully that is enough. Would you recommend I print the confirmation (if I get one) and fax it to Vegreville?

Well when my spouse extended his visa, I do not think he faxed any info to Vegreville after. when he received the visa extension in the mail, it included his UCI number and strangely enough, he did not even include it when he was requesting the extension. You can print it out for safe keeping but sending it to Vegreville is your choice. Did you send a copy of the first page from your passport?

RebeccaF, would you like to be added to the spreadsheet?

Question for all of you.

How many of you used a lawyer to get your documents in order?

My wife and I didn't and we're wondering about how often people use lawyers.

Hi everyone

I have a question. I submitted my application August 30, 2012 but I never received AOR. Should I call CIC?

Thanks,
Ani

I didn't send my OWP application with the sponsorship application, is there anyway i can send it now so i could be able to get the AIP and the work permit together? or should i wait till i get the AIP and then apply for the OWP?? i just don't want to wait 2 more months for the OWP after i get the AIP :-\

I think you should call, they should give you the AOR through the phone and you can get the UCI, then you will be able to track using e-cas.

Jonico, you could send your application for OWP now but risk the chance of the two files getting separated and your application could be processed before AIP, meaning denial. We did that and when the file got transferred to the local CIC prior to AIP, the application for OWP stayed in Vegreville and they processed it anyway. You could chance it but it would be risky.

I already have a UCI but when I try to log into e-case it says they can't find it because the application hasn't been processed yet...
