If I send an online application to renew my status in Canada while I am waiting for my sponsorship to process, how can I link the two applications together? Is it sufficient if I include my file number and UCI with the online application, tell them I have a sponsorship application in process and ask them to please match the status renewal with my other application?

Hello, is there anyone who recently did the medical exam?

I sent my application in August 2011, but I got an email in November 2012 requesting a new medical exam cause the old one expired.

I got my AIP in June 2012, and re-did a new medical exam on November 30th, 2012.

However, a call centre agent just told me that they have not received the result of the new medical exam.

Just wondering if anyone here recently did a medical exam in the past 2-3 months and haven't got a update on e-cas?

How long does it usually take for the medical exam to be received?

well I have done a medical exams in late June 2012 sent together with the application and just when I got the AIP couple of weeks ago the exams were shown as received.

Hello everyone,

today I received a letter from CIC stating that we should now fill the Quebec forms and send them to the provincial immigration office and also that we should apply for a Certificate of Selection and send it to the federal immigration office by a certain date this April.

Should we be expecting his work permit soon or is that later on?

I am also assuming that the provincial government will be asking for the medical exams...

I am glad that they are working on our file and actually doing so very rapidly, we just sent them a new Schedule A on the 31st of December and I was expecting to wait at least a month more before they ask for anything else!

He wanted ESL school which is free for PRs and citizens.
You can only go to ESL school free after you landed. (Or you have to pay)
I wanted to go to ESL school as well , this would be the perfect time to go because aren't busy with work.
It's a little stupid that you can't start the ESL with the AIP.

I had no any problems to begin ESL school. I started in November, 2012. I showed only the letter from CIC for AIP and paid $ 10 for 4 level/ because I was only 1 month in this level/. Since January I'm level 5 and paid another $ 30 for 3 months ..... so .... continues every level. My school is in the GTA.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I am still fighting to get my husband accepted in the ESL program. When you go to the school and show the letter they are not familiar with it. They say that AIP is one of the documents they accept, but this letter does not say AIP anywhere, only that you are eligible to apply for PR and so on. So, they say, come back when you get the Approval In Principle!!!

I dont know hat to do!!! Any advice?? Does anyone know any school in Toronto where they are familiar with this document, any previous experience?

I sent through my lawyer , so i am not sure how. I think that's all you need , maybe attach a letter to ask to join the new info to your file.

Yes it is suggested that you tell them that you are being sponsored. When you receive your extension, you may notice that the UCI number is on your visa extension as well.

WOW!!! good for you,i got AIP on Nov. 29 but untill now ecas says in process..no news about my meds if they got it or what but got nothing any email/letter also from cic if they need my to redo it. makes me worried now..do you think it's normal?
