RebeccaF, I have added you to the spreadsheet. Did you apply for a OWP with your application? Welcome to the waiting game.
Nigea. Congrats. We may actually be finished with AOR's for 2012. I think that Confrentis may have recieved an AOR as well. If that is the case then we are all onto the next stage. Let's hope 2013 is a very fast year!Nigea said:Received my AOR today. Filed Dec. 11, 2012 Also received my marriage certificate in the mail today and my police check arrived from St. Vincent last week. Am going to send them all on to Vegreville tomorrow so hopefully no more delays.
Hi AngelNoah,AngelNoah said:Hi there everyone I am reading this topic for quite a while and will send my application next month hopefully.
However, I am having hard time getting dubai police clearance, is anyone had experience the fastest way to get this certificate of good conduct?
Thanks RebeccaF for the reply and suggestions.RebeccaF said:Hi AngelNoah,
I googled, and found this:
cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/united-arab-emirates.asp
Sounds like something that will take a bit of time.
If there is an embassy close by, try that. I had to get a police certificate from Turkey and was dreading that whole procedure, but it ended up being really easy. Luckily there's a Turkish consulate in Toronto and after applying in person (and for no fee!!) I had my police check within a week!
Also, and !!please please someone correct me on this if I am giving bad information!! if your application is completed and the only thing you are still waiting on is the police reference check, send the application off! You can always send the police reference check off once you receive it and have it added to your application.
Rusty - thanks for adding me. I haven't applied for a OWP, but plan to once I get stage 1.
Yup! Unfortunately, it's for every country you've lived in for more than 6 months (since your 18th Birthday), aside from Canada. The good news is the UK police clearance is pretty fast to acquire. Mine only took a week! Here's the site link!UKZippy said:Hi all,
We're about to submit my PR application this week. I'm a U.K. Citizen and my common-law partner is Canadian, she is sponsoring me. I've been here for nearly two years now - I just keep renewing my visitor record.
Here's my question, do I need to supply a police record? I ask as being from the U.K. I dont need a visa to be in Canada.
Thanks.
I'm trying to find out if there is a 2013 spreadsheet started yet. If so it will probably be a better fit for you. I will keep you posted.john6514520 said:Please add me to the spreadsheet. Filed application on January 22, 2013. Waiting for AOR. Any idea how long it takes to get the AOR? I noticed processing times have come down a lot recently.
Inland Apps for 2013 are here:Rusty53 said:I'm trying to find out if there is a 2013 spreadsheet started yet. If so it will probably be a better fit for you. I will keep you posted.
