Got the open work permit in the mail yesterday! Valid for two years. Waiting for landing appointment. Is the landing appointment notified by email or a letter in the mail?

Thats a very long wait! Why is Calgary so slow! oh well, i'm still happy! hehe

Better to leave it the way it is. They'll probably issue an open work permit anyways since that's what they're supposed to issue with an inland spousal PR application. I personally think sending them extra stuff when the application is under process usually delays it. But thats just my thought.

AOR's are definitely coming out a lot faster than last year. It used to take 3 months, now it takes less than a month, for some, even 10 days. We are all really hoping this would result in faster AIP's as well. In the past, it took ~3 months after AOR to get AIP. If that's the case, January...
