People on here and also CIC said that i should receive approval for second stage in 4 to 6 weeks. It has already 7 weeks and I still heard no news from them. I've been checking my letter box every day since i have received my first letter but no news. I'm tired of this! I heard that they are working on May applications. Really? Have they dealt with applications they received before May? Obvioulsy, they did not! I'm actually annoyed! As you can tell.
I sent absolutely everything from the start (medicals and police cert) and got the letter for stage 2 6 days after AIPCheshireCats said:It is all very confusing! The processing times for Stage 2 say 8 months right now so that's what I'm sticking with...some people get stage 1 and 2 right off the bat, I'm seeing people getting stage 2 shortly after AIP!
Did they request you to send in anything further? (Medicals, police certificates etc) or did you send all that in from the start? We sent the medical with the application but not the police cert. and they also requested a few other things from us.
Like I said, I am hoping for this whole darn thing to be done in 8 months, as per the website. Anything sooner would be an awesome surprise! 8)
Me too, with the exception of the police cert, I sent everything...but of course I'm still waiting for my AOR as I sent it only end of Sep.frenchie57 said:I sent absolutely everything from the start (medicals and police cert) and got the letter for stage 2 6 days after AIP
pearl75 said:CheshireCats, I have sent everything with the application except my medicals which we sent well dr sent 3 months before we sent my application(we wanted to sent my application at the same time with my medical but something else came up and we couldn't) My medical was there 3 months before my application sent. And so far they did not ask anything extra from us. I was hoping to receive my PR withing 4-6 weeks which CIC officer told us.
And when I see people getting their first approval in 3 to 6 months I get annoyed as I had to wait over 8 months to receive mine. Sorry to those who got their AIP earlier I have nothing against you it's just I'm desperate to go and see my whole family. And waiting for unknown is SOOOO annoying.
CIC, I don't understand why you taking aaaaaggggeeessss to process a preety straight forward application to finalize? Everything is done in Canada, I mean you dont even have to call or wait for other countries to validate my papers!!!
Thank you Lynlyn28 said:goodluck, few more weeks you might have DM for stage 2!
pearl75 said:So nice to hear that you both are working I did not apply for work permit as we have been told by CIC that we will get it in 4 to 6 weeks so I thought no need to apply for a work permit I waited for so long and I can wait for another month or so hence, did not apply. Beside, I can not start work and ask them to give me holiday if my PR was going to come in a month. I want to go back home(yes right now Canada is not my home and I did not wanted to come here it was just for my husband ) anyway, so my plan is to go home first have my long waited holiday and come back here and start work.
You wont believe this but I have almost finished my shopping for my trip They just needed to be neatly put in a luggage It does give me some kind of comfort when I pack them And i don't have to rush to do my shopping. I'm just praying that I will received my PR soon and I hope you will get yours soon too
Where are you thinking of going? Overseas?
Thanks for the information.CanED said:No worries Kenny,
As an update my Ecas changed today. When I click into "in Process" it says medical results have been received. Hopefully not too much longer to go.

Yahooo!!! Fingers crossed not long to go?
Agreed Walter,walter8299 said:Thanks for the information.
My wife never received a stamped form stating medical done, but she did receive a receipt from the DOC.
I will photocopy that and mail to to Vegreville, I guess it is better for me to keep the original now.
The DOC (Francis Li) is very busy all the time, no one ever answers the phone. I guess I'll try to call first thing in the morning to see if there's any tracking or confirm if the check has been submitted or not.
The feeling now is funny.... Its like you're so close yet so far. When we were waiting for stage 1, we were more relax because we know it will take some time. After we received AIP, we start to get anxious haha
